Hmm, I felt I should add this topic to the growing list. All of us have our own ideas and belief, some even have thier own unique view of it all, so post your views, and don't be afraid...
Edit by Rayniedays: I have moved this thread from a subforum to main forum. Why? you ask I shall tell you. I love religions. I didn't know we had a thread on religions. I want this to actually get posts. enjoy =)

I used to be Christian, but now I'm nothing. Nothing really influenced this decision, because all through my growing up I've tried my best to believe, but finally I realized that no matter how many books I read and sermons I tried to (and found I just couldn't) listen to and discussions I had with other christians, I just stopped believing.

I spent about 5 years searching through different religions but it got put on the shelf to wait for my attention because I realized when I was researching Catholicism and such my mom was going way faster than I was talking about going to church on Sundays and going to Communion and getting baptized or something. Then when I realized it definetely wasn't a religion that suited my beliefs I started researching what the real Satanism religion was about (real religion, instead of the 10 year old 'satan worshipper' type). And when I took an interest in getting books on the subject my mom would yell at me and tell me I couldn't buy books on it or anything evil . I still take an interest and read up about things like Wicca, Paganism, and (since my mom keeps her mouth shut now) Satanism but none of them suit me either, as no religion seems to. So now I just have my own system of beliefs that I follow in a certain way. I really doubt it would ever be widely believed or known of enough that it could be authorized as a religion, so it's basically just my philosophy now. 3nodding

I was raised Christian, but now I really don't believe in God or religion. I am, however, interested in Hedonism, which I find to be more of a philosophy. Other than that, I have my own beliefs.

At least it's not "Why Christianity is Right/Bull." Those get pretty heated.
