Seriously, cosplay.com's wig 'store' be damned.

I found a far better one. They have four different geisha wigs, which made me incredibly impressed. (I'm probably going to pick up the 'bargain geisha one for my Billy Liar costume, as it looks v. Carson Ellis (the girl who did the geisha artwork.)

That really is a reather nice site. I think that witchwigs/time for halloween will still be my first love, but I'll definately keep this site in mind for other projects where they don'g have a wig quiiite close enough to suit my fancy. It also looks like they're Dallas based, with a retail store. Most certainly something to be checking out. Thank you for finding theis link! <3

I'm a huge fan of growing my hair and then styling it for a cosplay^_^
But then again...wigs are a great help when that won't work!

Yeah... there are totally some things you CAN'T do with real hair! Crazy anime character designers. I always regret cutting my hair for cosplay and hate dying it so I love wiggies! I've had good luck with the cosplay.com store (best prices besides ebay too ^^). I've never bought anything so fancy that I couldn't find there - though I can see how you'd need to buy a geisha wig AS a geisha wig because of the style needed!

No prob, Gren I'm glad that it proved helpful!

Lena: I know, I generally don't do anything too fancy either, but can you ******** imagine what one would have to do to style a wig in the proper geisha fashion? I mean seriously. I'll shell out cash to avoid that over trying to do it myself, thankee. hehe.

I've used my share of wigs in the past, but actually you can pull off ridiculous hair styles with time and patience. (My Goku hair actually looked natural when I finished it and off the top of my head that's pretty damned ridiculous looking^_^)
I have used wigs, but if I can manage to do it and not damage my hair too extensively, I try to avoid that and save some cash.

(Also...it helps that my hair doesn't lay flat and sticks up randomly unless I style it for 40 minutes every day xd )

www.amphigory.com has been good to me. Their wigs are good quality, and better priced than cosplay.com

Also, cosplaysupplies.com has a growing wig collection of varying qualities and prices.
