i dont care enough about goth to learn the names of any goth bands, except the one that only every saw in concert and thats zeromancer...
and yes it is the offspring of metal, trust me my whole life is based off of music i think i would know alittle bit about music, i have probaly been obsessed with it longer then you have ight,... ight

Zeromancer isn't goth. Goth is nothing close to metal. It came from the post-punk scene in the late 70s. Listen to some Joy Division, Bauhaus, or Siouxsie & the Banshees and then get back to me.

and it couldnt have just spawned from punk it would have to be two things put together e.i. rock + pop= punk, punk + poetry= rap ect.

I was just pointing out that your life isn't the only one that revolves around music. And, from the way you talk about it, you really don't know much. The level of your arrogance is astounding. Why can't you just admit that you were wrong? Goth was originally slowed down, mellower punk. For all I know it could have been mixed with something else, but it sure as hell wasn't metal. If a new genre only comes from the combination of existing genres, then how did those genres come about? Where did industrial and techno come from?

hmm this may sound really stuipd to you but it makes since to me but by calling someone ignorant make you the more ignorant one by not atleast considering the point at hand? and yes i do know about music, when your whole life is about band practice, saving money to go to shows and buy c.d.s and when you fail your classes because when they ask you to write papers about something and you instantly start righting about the first musical thing that comes to mind, like when a teacher asks you to write a paper about inventors of the u.s. and you go into 6 page paper about the for-fathers of punk, and done more then that then you can say that i dont know s**t about about music, until then keep your little gothic bullshit to yourself, go find a razor and kill yourself...
