Aadil lay on her back on the bank of a watering hole, her eyes closed and if one was close enough they could hear her soft snoring and purring of the large brown lioness. She was sunning her stomach loving the feeling of the morning sun as it beat down along the land.
She wanted a family more than anything and as she day dreamed/actual dreamed she thought of small cubs running around in her image, they were just like Mvumo and herself, brown and white. She'd felt a calling as an adolescent to become a mother and be a great loving mate, and she may actually be able to achieve that dream.

[ Nyoka was still shaken from the day before. That wild dog sure had struck fear into her heart. She still hardly trusted mud bathing by the watering hole. She sighed, staring around in fear that she might show up again and show those scary fangs. To Nyoka's surprise, there was a lion. Not a wild dog, there today.
Slowly she slithered up to this lion, careful not to get to close. This lion seemed to have a dreamy look about her face. The same look Mkarag told her she had when ever she was thinking. SOmetimes the though was of the savanah and others, on him or little eggs. Nyoka silently watched the lion daydream in wonder. ]

Aadil's ears twitched and she perked up to see a snake in her face, "what the hell are you!?" she grumbled and rolled over moving away from the new...creature.
"you scared the light out of me! Don't you know you're not supposed to do that?" her anger had already started to diminish and she was intrigued by the new thing. "Sorry, I probably scared you too, huh?"

[ Nyoka nodded silently. She already liked this lion. She was so nice and didn't smile just to bare her fangs as soon as she saw her. Nyoka slitered up and licked at her paw, taking in the sent of her in wonder. She hoped that her natural behavior wouldn't scare this lion, well, lioness. "Hello there misss." She hissed out and bowed, just like Mkarag.
"I'm sssorry if I sscared you. But I just had to invesstigate." ]

At first the brown lioness was unsure of what to think as the snake advanced, but the moment she licked her all unhappy thoughs diminished, after all who could hate such an affectionate creature. Aadil didn't know that scent glands were in snake's tongues, "stop that you tickle!" she snickered.
"Oh, it's quite alright. I was just daydreaming and then BAM there you were! I'm Aadil, by the way." She leaned down sniffing the smaller creature, her nostrils inches from Nyoka's scales.

[ Nyoka stopped sniffing at the lioness and smiled. "Sssorry! I had to sssmell you!" she slittered a small bit back. The lioness didn't smell like she would be any sort of a threat of dangrous, but she had learned from her last experience with a predetor wan't a good one.
"I daydream too." She sighed with a bit of thought behind it and smiled. Her daydreams always made her happy. "I'm Nyoka." She bowed again. That slithery snake Mkarag had worn off his habbits on her! But she was fine with it. As Aadil leaned close to sniff her Nyoka squirmed lightly to let her sniff the sparkliest part of her. ]

"You're very beautiful, you ahve very unique fur," Aadil purred. She had seen hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and other lions. But never had she seen anything with scales besides tiny lizards that she really couldn't understand. Mvumo taught her about the world, she was very child like in her demeanor.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Nyoka. Where are you from?"

[ Nyoka laughed. "I have ssscalesss. Not fur." She wiggled her tail as if to wave off the compliment. "But I love you lovely ssshade of brown." She nodded and leaned out to put her face in it. She had never really touched fur before thie lioness came along.
"It'sss very niccce to meet you alssso Aadil." She though about the question and told her exactly. "I am from under a rock. Where I live with the mossst wonderful ssnake!" She hissed with glee and asked her the same question. "Where are you from?" ]

"Scales? Like fish?" Fish tasted good, but she didn't think she could eat a snake, they were friendly and actually taked to her. "I wish I was a bright color, not brown. But, thankyou." she giggled as Nyoka touched her fur, it wasn't all that special.
"I live in a cave, kind of a big hole in a rock, with the most lovely lion," She smiled and looked up into the morning sky, it reminded her of all the run ins she had with various creatures, the topic was usually the big blue thing. "I was daydreaming about Cubs, do snakes have cubs?"
"Do you think you'd like to go for a swim?" It was a warm morning and she was sure by mid day it would be to warm to stand.

[ "I think that you are very pretty. And Being bright can make ssscary thingsss look at you!" That was one of the reasons she hid in the mud. It cooled her off and it hid her from things that would eat her. Nyoka's red eyes stared at her and she smiled.
"Rockssss are good. I live under one. It coversss my hole in the ground." She was very proud of her hole in the ground. It was so spacious and Comfortable, able to fit a few more snakes in with ease. Nyoka's golden, mud covered scales reddened a bit. "No. Sssnakess have eggsss. And I dream about my own with Mkarag." She sighed happily at the thought of her one day having eggs to look after. It was such a happy thought to her.
She nodded. "I'd love too." ]

"Snakes are not birds, are you sure you lay eggs?" a smile spread across her maw and with that she ran and dove into the watering hole. Drenching the surrounding areas, her fur matted down around her body. "Sorry, did't mean to splash," her voice gurgled half submerged in water. "You're sure you're not a fish AND a bird?"
Well, that didn't make sense of course she knew what she was, but Aadil had her doubts. Maybe she was a fish, fish didn't have legs afterall, and they did have scales. But do fish lay eggs?

[ Nyoka laughed. "Yess I'm ssure." She didn't have feathers or the feet to be a bird. Nyoka coughed out an odd noise as some of the water hit her. It was so cold and refreashing, even better than the mud! Slowly she slithered to rest on the waters edge. "I can't be a fissshh. I can't ssswim." she conffessed and lay on the very ege of the water so that she could cool off in it and not drown her self by getting in to deep. ]

Aadil waded to the shore and lay half in the water half out, "you probaby could swim, have you ever tried?" she was filled with questions Nyoka seemed ready to answer so she was going to bombard her until Nyoka had questions of her own to ask.
Aadil must have looked awkward laying head on paws in the shallow end looking at the tiny creature, but she didn't mind new friends were new friends! It wasn't everyday she saw someone new.

[ Nyoka shook her head. "I'm no water snake. I'd probobly sink!" She wasn't about to try and possibly sink to her doom. Nyoka had been thinking, "So. Do you plan on ever having little ones of your own?" She asked and cocked her head to the side. She was quite cuious when it came to little children. THey were always so amazing to her. ]

"My mate and I are still discussing it, but hopefully yes soon." She beamed, "they'll have to meet you so they're educated on the ways of snakes! I had no clue what the heck you were! Are you going to have eggsss anytime soon?" Aadil dipped her face into the water to get flies away from it, giggling she looked back up at Nyoka.
"Everyone says I'm too childish for cubs, but I think that's what will make me a good mother."
