I don't think he's going down hill. They are all great books, and the movies are also great. I don't think the 7th one will be anything less. Just really long maybe...

i honestly think that HP has gone seriously downhill after she got rid of Sirius. That's my opinion anyway, considering that I know many many people who loved him, and have just gotten sick of her killing off characters that they like. I personally agree with this, considering that I didn't really enjoy the writing style in the 4th, 5th, or 6th books. >.< no offense to those out there, but I honestly think she's lost her touch.

I think the killing off the characters is what makes it different from all other books, and also what makes it so interesting and itriguing. Yes, it is sad and makes you mad, but it doesn't make it so I don't want to continue reading the books.

Let's say this.. It's gonna be another Millenium before anyone forgets Harry Potter. I doubt it would even be forgotened 100 years from now. If you mean the part where there is no more books, yea, you're right. After 2 more movies, 1 more book, and a amusement park, J.K. Rowliing officially quits.

I think they are getting better actually. I will admit that I only read to see how it ends now, but the last couple of books have been much more complex, and I like that. The characters are becoming more real too. Especially Harry. He actually displays emotions like rage, emphasized by all CAPS.
The fact that I am only reading to see how it ends suggests downhill though... hmmm... I need to think...

gothic_mermaid888 Rowling just has to many questions that I don't think she can answer in the next book... She'll answer them... it's just going to be a very very VERY LONG book... I might even have to spend more than a day reading it depending.

I don't think she's going down hill... Yet. But as it's been said, it really depends on how she handles the last book. Me personally, I think she'll manage because she writes very well. That's just me, though.

I feel she IS going down hill. I never really liked Harry Potter in the first place. xd i think they all repete what the last one was about. Get into trouble at home Go to Hogwarts Find a clue Find more clues Have some event happen Find more clues Kill votamort Win house cup They are all the same to me.

They are rather predictable I'll admit. I was very surprised about snape being the half blood prince. Although on the other hand I could just be really slow to catch on to the hints being dropped about it in the first 5 books.
