I entered a poem in a contest and I won. The thing is, in order to recieve my prizes...I have to pay $160 with a credit card for shipping and handling. My family doesn't have that kind of money or a credit card! I ust dont know what to do. But I know it isn't a scam because I've gotton a letter from them before and a paper certificate. I just don't know what to do.

It's okay, I'm used to dissapointment. It's how I live my life. But it makes me wonder how how different life would be if I wasn't poor.

Not all are scams. I know because I know someone with tons of awards and money from them.

Pretty much all that require you to pay them are scams. Paying to enter is one thing, but paying to win is usually scammy.
I'm poor and to be honest I'd rather have grown up the way I have than have the attitude that many richer people have.
