How do I digitally ink with Adobe Photoshop CS2 v.9?
PostPosted: Wed Aug 16, 2006 5:37 pm

I hear you can use the pen tool and make amazing line art.
t.t
I, unfortunately, can't do it.

:/
Just use the brush tool?

Yeah
I tried using the pen tool but I have problems >.<

My hands aren't steady, is why I don't use free movement things xd

pen tool doesn't require you to have a steady hand though
it requires you to know how the tool works though, which i can't seem to get the hang of it yet. it is like making a shape, i remember there are other ways to use it, but the default way confuses the heck out of me. The other way I use it is to color in bigger shapes rather than lines. It makes life easy because you can easily change the color if you don't like how it looks into something else.

here is an image of me trying to end the pen tool but ending up making a big mess, notice how the pen tool works though, the overlapping parts turn the color into its counterpart. In this case it is turning white to black and black to white every time you overlap.

pencil and brush tool though requires you to have the steady hand since it is pretty much like using a pencil to draw something neutral

I think using the mouse is a hell of a lot harder to use than a pencil because of the way you hold it.

I wonder how much easier it is with a drawing tablet.
:/

Well I meant the concept behind it
It applies color onto the canvas instead of taking it off or doing something else crazy with it. Also you can overlap the colors if you toy around with the features.

I hate using object tools on photoshop because they go all off on their own layers and it annoys the heck out of me.
>:O
Especially the line tool on photoshop.
*hate*

Pen tool.

Though you can make the lineart while you're coloring in the art. Kinda makes an interesting effect.
