NEWTYPE magazine recently posted pictures of animazement in the August issue... Along with that, next month there will be a first ever female starring in the collector's corner from NC.. people should check it out!

Newtype is a relatively expensive (but thick) anime magazine that seems to be pretty extensive in the stuff it covers.

It also comes with a sampler DVD that contains the first episode of an anime. If you like the first episode, the idea is you'll buy the series...most people download them, but it's the thought that counts.

yeah... I'd forgotten about that. I've never actually bought an issue of newtype.
I guess I'm one of the few people left who doesn't like downloaded anime. I personally prefer to watch dvds on my big tv with surround sound over my tiny computer screen.

I personally prefer to watch dvds on my big tv with surround sound over my tiny computer screen. That's what I prefer as well. I buy anime instead of downloading it...My computer is sucky and anime is cheaper then a new computer. ...I once bought an entire series out of spite because the day I finally desided to watch it was the first day after it had been canceled. I tuned in and they had an anouncement that the show was being replaced

aw that's gotta suck.
I can't really afford to buy anime; all my extra money tends to go toward funding my cosplay addiction. I'm lucky though because I have a friend who lets me borrow all the anime she buys, so I get to watch it that way.

Since the con, my money has been going more toward cosplay then anime, but yea
