I believe that Princess Tutu should have a sequel,The end made it sound that Fakir was writting something that we should know about.
So who thinks a story of Ahiru and Fakir should continue?

Well let me reply to my own POST!
I think Ahiru and Fakir should be together because they were the two that suffer the most in the story. I like Mythos and i like Rue but they both just ended up being very lucky!
A continuation of the story should be about how Fakir starts the story trying to find a way to convert Ahiru into Princess Tutu.

I think theyshould be together too because they both worked hard and Fakir grew feelings for her. And he also wrote a story about her when he couldn't write one about mytho.

i too think they should be together but bound by certain limitations. They make eachother stronger and fakir has developed strong feelings for her (seeing as she changed him and all). BUT she's still a duck.... Maybe a continuation of him writing a story about if she wanted to change into a girl again or stay as a duck. if she had the choice. That would be a nice story and with plenty of burdens and mixed feelings.

Insert manditory Spoiler Warning here. ^^

Honestly, I didn't like how all of a sudden Fakir liked Ahiru and Mytho was kinda all of a sudden just there the last 10 (maybe 5) episodes. The whole time, the story is about Princess Tutu returning the prince's heart. The prince whom she loved, but could never voice her feelings otherwise she would disappear. This was the story all the way up until maybe episode 20 (kinda guestimating on episodes here), then all of a sudden Fakir is there and she kinda is torn between the two, but still wants to return the prince's heart. THEN, when Mytho gets his heart, he decides, despite wanting to be with Tutu the entire beginning of the season, he wants to be with Rue because Rue told him she loved him. Then during the battle with the Raven, he gets flashbacks kinda about how he felt about Tutu. It kinda fellt to me that this is how his feelings went throughout the series:

"Omg, I can't feel. Oh wait, now I can. Hey, Tutu's hot. Omg, I love her. Woah, did that dark haired chick just say she loves me? Omg, I love HER. Hey, the Raven ate her. I think I still love Tutu. Wait, Tutu is a poor, defenseless, and worthless duck. Back to loving Rue. Oh wait, Rue's still in the Raven's belly. Let's save her since I'm not into animals. Yay, we saved her. Now I'm gonna marry her and not seem grateful at all to Ahiru who gave up everything to save me and go off and marry Rue."

Now, don't get me wrong. I love the Rue/Mytho and Fakir/Ahiru ships, I really do. It's just I didn't like how Mytho so calmly and carelessly told Ahiru he didn't want her as his princess.

Now, for my rant about the ending. xD!
Drosselmeyer wanted a tradegy, and I think he got one. The only happy people were really Rue and Mytho. Everybody in the towns forgot about Ahiru and she turned back into a duck. Fakir was left to write stories and only have Ahiru as a duck. The whole last two or three episodes, Tutu was all "Let's have a happy ending", but I don't think she did. Sure, she got to stay with Fakir, but how romantic can you be with a duck without it seeming odd or awkward. I think they should have a sequel, since they left a lot of room and made it able to have one. Like, since Drosselmeyer never really 'died' or disappeared, and he and Uzura left to 'go to another story'. Also, Fakir has been writing stories and he has to ability to make tales come true. So, MAYBE Drosselmeyer can bring Tutu back to make an attempt at another tradegy, but once again fail, and instead of a tradegy, make a happy ending for Fakir and Ahiru, the two characters in the series that DESERVED a happy ending and were ripped off.

Just my theories. ^^ (I need to learn to type and talk less. XD!)

Spoiler warning here too, just in case ^^;.

Well, you know what Edel always said ^__^. "There is happiness for those who accept their fate. There is glory for those who go against it."

Or something like that >>;. But anyway.

Mytho and Rue are the two who, throughout the story, really accept their roles. Rue doesn't fuss all that much about becoming Kreahe to win the prince, and Mytho has no will really until near the end of the series, where he returns to being the prince. And does he fight it then? No. So notice how these two are the ones who got a happy ending in the end of the series ^^.

Now, to Ahiru and Fakir. Ahiru/Princess Tutu's fate, according to the story, was to be the tragic princess who confessed her love to the prince and then disappeared in a flash of light. However, when the time comes for her to do that in Akt. 13, she doesn't. She doesn't confess later either, and instead returns to being a duck who in the very end saves the town. Then there's also Fakir, who's fate it was to be torn in two by the raven. Again, in Akt. 13, he was almost subject to this fate. But he survived, and he later turned back to writing instead of the sword to help bring the story to a conclusion. While these two didn't neccessarily have a happy ending, they are in a position to live contently enough. There is no tradegy for them; things are back to how they should be. A normal boy and a normal duck. Ahiru saved the day in the end, and Fakir saved Ahiru. They gained their glory as hereos, but not the happiness everyone may have been expecting.

So really, everyone got what the story said they should ^_^. As least if you go by that quote.

Now, onto my opinion about Mytho (my goodness, this post is going to be long xD)...

It may not seem fair that Mytho didn't seem to acknowledge Ahiru at the end. She did give everything she had to help him gain back his heart, but how was he to know this? To him, since the beginning of the story, Princess Tutu was a magical heroine who showed up to return his heart and then disappear. He didn't know that she was his classmate. He didn't know she was a duck until the end. And he never knew that she loved him, because she never did get to say it. He asked her many times how she felt about him, but she never could answer; and for good reason, we know. But did he?

When at the end he realizes Tutu was a duck, he does bow to her and thank her for all that she's done. But to him, Tutu seemed the equivilent of his gaurdian angel I guess you could say. So his thoughts do shift to Rue, who he had known as a child and who was always enamoured with him. He knew that she loved him, if not before the end then during its execution where he's flying as a raven toward the Monster Raven over the town. Rue yells out that she loves him, and that breaks the hold that the Raven's blood had over him. So, he determines that she is his princess.

It might not seem fair to us, but to him, it must have been what seemed fair.

Then there's Fakir's sudden interest in Ahiru. She had been trying to gain his trust and help since she found out that he was also dedicated to protecting Mytho. That was around Akt. 10 I think. But of course, he didn't trust her not to hurt Mytho and so kept lashing out, refusing to accept her assistance. As he changes throughout the series though and realizes that he needs her help, things start to change. He softens up as a person in general, and then to Ahiru, though not willingly or maybe even conciously. Their truce forms very subtlely and gradually throughout the series, if you watch closely enough. By the end, they trust each other enough for there to be basis for the Ahiru x Fakir pairing.

I don't mean to put down any of the points you made; you made some good ones xd ;! That's just my ten... er, twenty... or whatever cents.

When it's all said and done, I think that a short movie would be nice to help clear up what happened to Ahiru and Fakir. A happy, glittery, fluffy ending for them like Mytho and Rue got would make me really really happy... but I'm also relatively content with how things turned out.

umm well my answer is YES! I mean it would nice if it could continue. I think it left at a cliffhanger at the end of the series and Ahiru can't stay a duck forever that would just be too sad.

I'd love a sequel...but I don't think there should be one. Sequels never really do anything but disappoint. Once we got our happy ending, you know we'd all be sitting around blinking and saying, "That's it?"

There are LOTS of rumors of third seasons (someone I talked to claimed to have actually seen the home page for it, yet she couldn't give me a link OR any information rolleyes .)

But I doubt that any of them are true. They might have wanted to continue the series, but I don't think it's going to happen.

1. The series wasn't popular enough in Japan, which is their main market. All these English-speaking fans complaining about how Fakir/Ahiru should be together? They don't really care...

2. Lack of funds.

3. The ending is fine as it is, really. Sure, I'd love to see a continuation, but it would have to be exceptional. People these days are just too used to "magical happy for everyone fluffy bunny endings". We should be glad Ahiru wasn't killed in that last episode >>;.
