There is a band I really like, they're called Bloodpit, they're from Finland, and I doubt if anybody else has heard of them, but post here if you have!! ninja
*UPDATE* I know the name of their bass player! Aleksi Keranen!!!
*2ND UPDATE* OMG, people have posted! Their genre... Not really sure. They're some kinda rock, and they're pretty heavy, but for some reason I am hesitant to call them 'metal'.

I'm wagering Death/Thrash/Metal.

Either symphonic/melodic black metal, or folk metal, that's usually the only thing that comes out of finnland.
EDIT:
I checked em' out, hard rock for sure.
