Ranch is good on pretty much everything. One thing though I don't like is ruining an already perfect taste with more junk. Pizza is perfect the way it is. mrgreen

Ranch is ok on a vegetable salad (lots of different vegies) and maybe a pizza, but don't put it on my green salad!
A true green salad is all green lettuce and red lettuce, maybe some thin sliced onions, and NOTHING else. Definitely not any iceburg lettuce. ewww
The only dressing for this is a good olive oil, an excellent balsamic vinegar (the best are rather thick and sweetish but tart), a few herbs to your liking, well mixed and shaken and gently spooned over each individual salad. Salt and pepper to taste. Yes. No cheese. No bread crumbs or that kinda stuff.
The reason for the purity of the salad is that it's for cleaning the pallat, and should have a sharp, clear taste. What comes after may be a cheese course or desert or whatever, but this salad will not muddy your taste buds.

Ranch is great on pizza. I've only had it from a place called Snappy Tomato that was just insane. Their is a base of ranch dressing, topped with hickory smoked bacon, cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes, onions and green peppers. Such a nice change from the same old same old.
