The Last City
The year is 2116. As predicted, the polar icecaps have melted, and the world was submerged for decades, only one city remaining untouched. Now after hundreds of years, the water had either frozen again, or was absorbed into the ground as vast forests and jungles spread wild across the globe. Survivors of this one city contructed massive walls around half of the city, keeping them safe from the unknown outside as the other half crumbled and disappeared beneath the thick folliage. A small population of 5,000 filled the city, a utopia of a sort developing where a small govenment worked for the people. The city flourished, advances in technology, cloning, dna combination, and the city itself like none other. Guns are nearly non-existant, only produced by specific numbers for it's single, large police force. Kept a secret from the people, scientists worked day and night down in hidden labs below the city, creating and experimenting with dna, abominaitons either caged or released into the wilderness beyond the walls. Even people disappear on occasion, never to be seen or heard from again. Welcome to City 13, the last civilization on earth.
