The dark lioness pranced through the grass, her steps so light it was as if she was gliding on air. Yes, she pranced, something she had not done since she was a small cub. Though prancing was rather fitting for the joy that was within Nelu's heart at the moment, for the lioness had just found a home within the Pridelands, well, she'll have to actually look for a home later, but the knowledge that she was welcome to stay was good enough for her. The king himself had approved of her residence in the Pridelands just awhile ago, and this was precisely why Nelu was prancing through the grass like a little cub.
Though what is good news without a friend to share it with? The lioness cut through the grass, wide smile plastered to her face, and glancing left and right for her dark coated friend."Aadil," the lioness called out, wondering if her friend was around.

This was most certianly Nelu's lucky day Aadil had been napping near by warming her coat in the sun. What a lazy lioness!
"Over here, Nelu!" she called from the left of Nelu, there was a watering hole and the light (dark to others) brown lioness was laying with her tail in the water, a fish could every so often come up to nibble and see what she was but other than that nothing had disturbed her lougning until now, but this was a good disturbance.
"What has you happy and all in a flutter?" Aadil made a motion calling her over, she wasn't about to move from her spot, it was fun to count the fish bites.

Upon hearing Aadil's voice, the dark lioness swirved to her left in the most unelegant fashion, almost tripping herself over on her own feet, though she corrected herself fast enough, and was soon again prancing gracefully ever closer to her friend.
Finally arriving at the water hole, Nelu was both surprised and delighted to find Aadil laying leisurely by the water, with her tail dipped slightly in. It was certainly Nelu's lucky day. And seeing that her friend wasn't about to move from her afternoon tanning session, the dark lioness promptly plopped herself down besides the brown lioness, and let her own tail drop carelessly into the waterhole, with a splash too.
And then Nelu began to talk, and talk she did. The habitually quiet lioness found herself talking faster and faster; she'd never talked this much in one sitting before. "So I was out on a walk today over there around the grasslands, and I was going to see if I could meet some new people, since everyone here is so nice, and I met up with an old lion, very peculiar too. So we talked and talked, about the land and how beautiful it was, and then the conversation went to who we are and I told him my name and he told me his." A big breath here. "And it was Mufasa! Can you believe that of all the creatures in the land, I would run into the king? on such a nice day too..." The lioness rambled on and one, glancing over occasionally at her friend to see whether if she was bored yet, but mostly Nelu just talked, her tail waiving up into the air and dropping back into the water hole once or twice.
"... And remember how I was going to seek out the royal couple to ask them for permission to stay in there land, well, we did get to that and the king said I am welcome in the pridelands." The lioness beamed.

Aadil had to hold back a fit of giggles seeing Nelu almost trip, it wasn't a spiteful laugh; she had to admit almost tripping and falling was a humorous affair. Her tail twitched back and forth, a smile plastered to her face. Miss Nelu looked a little more heathy, at least in her demeanor. And when she oh so gracefully ploped down next to Aadil she knew all was well that her friend was not calling for her out of fear. A breeze rustled through the grass and tussled the lionesses fur.
As Nelu talked she nodded her eyes widening at the thought of meeting Mufasa so casually, she had met him in quite the same manner, she was with Danzi, a lion that looked much like Mufasa and his brood.
"That is so amazing! I cannot believe that you hav joined the pride, do you know how great that is!" she beamed and was excited for her new friend this lioness was begining to be such a treat to be around, she was sweet and talkitive, just like Aadil! "It's like we're sisters now," A childish smile crept across her face. She'd always wanted a best friend that was female, and now in her young adult hood she may ahve found one!

Seeing her friend's happiness made the dark lioness more joyful. Her tail was besides herself, wishing-washing in the water hole, causing quite a commotion and scaring away all the fish probably. "Yes, it's wondering!" Nelu squeaked like a little cub, still grinning.
Nelu's eyes widened as Aadil mentioned there sisterhood. It was true, they were certainly around the same age, yes, sisters they were. "We are," The dark lioness nodded to her friend, "We are sisters! Or we should become sisters in any case!"

"I want to take you to see Mvumo one day," she smiled and an air of dreaminess slipped into her demeanor. Mvumo was the love of her life, he was sweet, kind, and not a talker like these two. "We'll have cubs and they'll HAVE to call you Aunt Nelu!"
She liked Nelu and wanted everything to go the dark lioness' way; especially when it meant family, she knew the pink haired lady was missing a godfather and mother, giving her a family would please Mvumo.

"I'd love to meet Mvumo," the dark lioness smiled, by now calmed a bit from the previous excitements. The usual air of docileness was back with her, though certainly so was the joy of being within Aadil's company.
The idea of Aunt Nelu appealed to the lioness a great deal, and she chuckled with delight. "Aunt?" she squealed. She hadn't had much experience with cubs, growing up alone without siblings and such, but imagined them to be delightful little furballs. She was certainly right.

Aadil's mind swarmed with the thoughts of her little ones, fuzzy crying things that would make her so happy to be alive. "You got it, baby, Aunt Nelu!" She snickered and pressed her face against the cool earth.
"What do you think being a mother would be like?" She asked suddenly fearful that she would be a terrible one, she knew how to be a friend and even a child, but a caregiver. What would Mvumo think about her fears?

Nelu wouldn't know anything about rearing cubs to save her life with, being quite and probably more inexperienced in the area then Aadil. The dark lioness wiggled her ears, sad that she did not have an answer for her friend. It seems that Aadil had always been the voice of reason and knowledge.
Though from the way Aadil had first taken care of her when she first arrived, sickly and worn down, on the Pridelands, Nelu was sure that her cubs would be well taken care of, the luckiest ones around quite possibly. "It must be a really nice feeling," Nelu murmured, wondering if maybe she will be asking the same question one day in the future. "You'll be a great mother, I know it." Though without the word of knowledge, the dark lioness could certainly offer words of comfort.

"Thank you, knowing someone else thinks I will be is more reasuring," she smiled. Shifting her position so one half of her was in the water instead of just her tail, she'd been extremely uncomfortable in the heat recently. Her worries of being a mother quickly vanished...for now. Little did the young adult know that her own spawn was growing inside of her, waiting for that moment to be born.
"So...is there a lucky male in your life?" she joked, her light blue eyes lit up thinking about really expanding her family.

Nelu yawned. Sunny afternoons always made her sleepy, and with the water hole nearby, it was not too hot and not too cold: just right for a nap.
"A lucky male?" the dark lioness blinked and blushed, "of course not, don't be silly." There wasn't, of course, any male in Nelu's life. She hadn't met many of them yet, and besides, even if she did, the docile lioness doubted she would know what to say and how to act. Being with males was certainly a rare experience for her, though she is around the right age for a family of her own.

"Oh, a pretty thing like you? You'll be snatched up in moments!" She cooed. Her eyes dropped in the heat and a lazy smile was drooping on her face. It was a good day, finding a friend so early after joining the pride, asn no seh was her sister. "It's a laaaazy day," she uttered and snapped open one eye, "Would you mind if I took a nap?"

Nelu smiled at Aadil's comment; she hoped so. Aadil was her family now, but she was definitely looking to extend her circle. "Oh no, not at all," the laziness of her friend was making the dark lioness lazy as well. She yawned again, with all the intention of joining Aadil for a mid-morning rest. "I think I shall join you, actually." Nelu nodded and smile, rolling over and making herself comfortable.

Aadil could barely hear the other lioness as she answered, her chin resting on the warm earth. Her soul was content and that was all that was needed. She slowly slipped off to the land of Nod, her dreams fillnig with cubs, Mvumo, and of course her sister, Nelu.

Nelu smiled as her eyelips started to droop. She was content, happy with where her life has ended up and where it is going. The last sight as the lioness drifted off to sleep was that of her sister, Aadil's blissful face. The dark lioness was soon on her way to dreamsville, full of sweet dreams of her own.
