Apparently he felt the need to do it. Just like he felt the need to hurl bricks through unsuspecting women's doors and just like he'd felt the need to go cruising around town on company time, he felt the need to do this thing too. No one, not even Charles knew about it....well, someone knew, but that would be seen...
Chuckling satisfaction to himself, the agency messenger dropped the last letter, in the mailbox of one of the agency guardians. Like he had the others' he put a life-like toy trantula that was triggered to jump at any movement on top of all the letters that was in the box. Ooh, this would be fun!
---
The contents of the letters:
Dear Madam (or Sir):
Your presence is requested at 8AM tomorrow morning at the Safe Haven. Please be prompt. This is a matter of great importance.
Regards: Charles
----
OOC: I will not be replying to this as an NPC until everyone has already ARRIVED at the Safe Haven. As with past RPs, there is no specific posting order and rounds may restart after everyone has posted (I'll edit who's in next Saturday), but you will be skipped if you haven't replied within a week of the round beginning (currently: by Saturday).

Akila had woken up particularly early this morning getting breakfast ready for Erol. He come in late last night for the umptenth time this week. Suddenly it was becoming a habit and Akila wasn't very found of this.
Before settling on breakfast she made her way outside to check the mailbox for anything of importance. Opening it an interesting suprise jutted out from within. Akila simply arched a brow... "Cute." she muttered, having grown used to Erol's lame pranks this one simply held no measure. Plucking the toy tranaula from the letter she stuffed it in her pocket and took the letter from the mailbox.
Returning to the house she sat and red the letter, coffee brewing on the stove. The letter needed her to be prompt at 8am it was currently 6:30am. Sighing there would be no time to cook breakfast for the little runt so she quickly scribbled a note and went to get ready.
Within the allotted time she cleaned and dressed herself and was ready to go. Heading out to the garage she slipped in her car and made her way to the Safe Haven. Once there she entered and stood in the lobby not entirely sure where they were expected to meet in the Haven. "Joy." she muttered tersely and decided she would wait to see if anyone else showed.

A shrill scream broke the early morning air; the spider had evidently had the desired effect. Half an hour later, a rather upset Jenny was seated at the kitchen table. Zayd had concientiously made her a cup of tea, and was reading the letter himself. "Well that's kinda weird" he commented, almost to himself. "Who would'a have put a trick spider in there..." (which had, by the way, been quietly removed for study, and possible use at another opportune time). "But you have to be there in an hour" Jenny let out a little sigh, staring at her tea mournfully. Happy unbirthday. Have a trick spider and a summons early in the morning. Meh. Well, it couldn't take more then half an hour on her scooter... That way she might have a chance to get dressed and properly made up. Half an hour later, she had bullied Zayd into eating a proper breakfast, showed him how to operate the microwave and given him instructions as to cooking his lunch if she wasn't home in time, put out milk for the stray cat she had seen around, found Zayd's learning-to-read things (aimed at toddlers, but still...), found a decently sharp pencil, then finally got herself out of the door. Then she had gone back, having forgotten her handbag - it'd be her head next, you mark her words... The scooter was left outside as she made her way into the lobby, hands firmly stuck in the pockets of her baggy dungarees.

Open eyes... Joshua stared at the clock... it was blinking again... He goraned and rolled over. Candice must have blown another fuse. At least she had learnt to fix them though he had told her many times it was better to just wait until he got up. He glanced at the clock again... 12:00.... 12:00.... 12:00.... Damn, he'd have to get up to find out what time it was. There was a small shaft of light comming from the corner of the partially duct-taped curtain, must be daytime at least. he though to himself, willing his lazy body to get up and start something for Candice at least. Then his stomach rumbled as well, OK breakfast for the both of them. Rooooooll out of bed... He stood up, slightly waving too and fro on his feet. A yawn and a streatch later and he was almost back in bed but the call of food got stronger. Shuffeling feet forward he made his way towards the bathroom, clutching at the dore frame for balance and peering muggly at the mirror. He'd shower after breakfast. Running water should do the trick... Splashing a little cold water on his face did nothing to wake him up. What time was it anyway? He stunbled out of the bedroom, steped over the pile of gaming magazines that needed to be re-cycled, turned on the coffee machine and wandered outside to get the paper and the mail. Spider in the mail box... Taking out the letters he yawned again, his sleep-filled eyes not even able to read the fuzzy writing befor him. Where are my glasses? Joshua suddenly realized they were not on his face and wrinkled his nose trying to remember what happened last night. Something about an assignement he was a little late on... Late? Something made him rush back into the house. "Candice! Your going to be late for school!" Throwing bread, ham, yougart, juice box, jello, string cheese and a large chunk of cucumber into the young girl's lunchbox he wheeled around and almost crashed into Spriggin. "Oh, there you are! It's time for school! Your going to be late! What time is it anyway?" His voiced faded as he saw Candice's face... "Joshua... it's Saterday..." She turned around before noticing the spilled letters on the floor. Knowing they would get lost otherwise she picked them up and read the fronts. Spotting one from the agency she decided to open it up and see what it said. letter Dear Madam (or Sir): Your presence is requested at 8AM tomorrow morning at the Safe Haven. Please be prompt. This is a matter of great importance. Regards: Charles "Ohhh... Look at that, your in trouble." she said in a sing-song voice. "Looks like you're gonna be needing that lunch instead." She pushed it lightly into his arms before steering him back towards the kitchen. "Breakfast and then you can go." "Go? It said tomorrow...?" Joshua finally woke up now the adrenaline kick had stimulated everything. "What time is it anyway?" "The letter was suppost to have been read yesterday and it's 7:45 right now, you have 15 minutes." Candice grinned. "You might want to use the teleporter." ... 15 minutes later a ruffled but awake Joshua appeared suddenly in the garden and started making his way over the lawn, brushing his hair back into it's customary ponytail. Wait... Why do I have a spider in my mailbox?...

It was something of a silly game for AriyaLauna and Megan. As soon as they were home from school, they raced to the mailbox to see who'd get to the stuff first. Megan was always looking for her National Geographic magazines, or some other cool magazine, or a letter AriyaLauna had mailed to her...She'd given up looking for anything from her family ages ago. AriyaLauna, quietly, always looked forwarad to messages from Vincent, but she didn't Megan know that. She'd kill her... Was the adult supposed to be hiding the boyfriend from the child?
Megan reached the mailbox first, and that spider was set just so it'd hop onto her shirt. The girl screamed and brushed it off, and went wailing behind AriyaLauna, "Its the HUGEST SPIDER EVER! It ATTACKED ME! It,it,it,it!!!"
Supposing this grand, evil spider to be a daddy-long-legs or a lizard, AriyaLauna walked over without any concern. The thing had flipped on it's back and it was clear that it was just some prank toy, "It's a toy, baby...You're ok." She had to turn quickly to pull out the mail and avoid Megan seeing the wide grin on her face, "I'll tell Ruriska she'd better take watch of that manic boy of hers."
"COOL!" Over her tears in a heartbeat, Megan pounced on it and picked it up, "I'm gonna keep it and..." she looked slyly at AriyaLauna, who smirked back at her, "I won't get in trouble....Did I get anything?"
AriyaLauna slapped Megan's nose with an envelope, "Penpal."
"YES!" Megan snatched it and ran off, leaving AriyaLauna to deal with everything else.
-------------
Saturday morning, Megan was dropped off at a Vincent's apartment and AriyaLauna found herself at the Safe Haven a safe distance away from the other guardians. It may have been three years since she'd first seen the majority of them, but the shy woman hadn't bothered trying to get to know them after the fiasco with Ruriska.

Unlike in the past, Charles was not waiting for the guardians. Actually, no one was waiting for the guardians. Time clicked by... click... 8:02...8:07....8:12...

Joshua stared at the clock... This was the first time he had ever seen Charles late... he would have been less surprised if Charles had walked out with two heads and fire comming from his eyes... as long as he was on time. The hacker frowned curious to see how this could have happened. Excusing himself he decided to check things out at least and slipped to the nearest comouter terminal which happened to be at the secretaries desk. Loggin himself in he worked his way to the security logs. Somewhere in there was the record of all the ins and outs of the Haven. At least this way he'd be able to figure out if Charles was in the building somewhere or if he had left and just not come back yet.

More guardians... more time passed. As one guardian took it upon himself to hack into the network. Akila however bypassed the secretary altogether and went into the ajoining hall. Once inside she called out for Charles or anyone that would be present for this meeting. "I don't know what the ******** deal is but having me here at a certain time and not showing your face pisses me off! CHARLES!"
She walked leisurely down the hall bypassing anyone that decided she shouldn't be there until she got to the other end of the hall....

Strolling in fashionably late, Ruri looked the perfect picture of someone who had just gotten out of bed. And that she had. Only half an hour or so earlier she'd finally rolled herself out of her cacoon of blankets, shrugging on whatever wrinkled clothing conveniently close to her grasping hands. Less than awake she wandered into the Safe Haven, gave everyone a quick appraising glance and then sat down in the nearest chair.
Earlier that morning she had been awoken by a disgruntled Raleigh, who after retrieving the mail, strolled into her room to give her the message and throw a plastic spider in her face. Then he gave her an annoyed look when all she did was grunt in reply and stalked out, clearly disgusted with the disorganization of her room. He was the one who'd later poked her awake. Ah, would she do without him?
Sitting in her chair, quiet for once in her life, Ruri looked ready to nod of again. No more late nights for her. Well, at least for a couple of days.
Ooc: Crap, sorry! ^_^

As guardians began to panic, a young, nervous looking medic walked in. He wringed his hands upon seeing one run out screaming and another in a private computer.
"Oh, don't do that! Don't do that!" It was a pleading sort of small, mousy call. He waved his hands at Joshua, figuring that the other lady would soon get lost in the jungle of hallways. "Oh, dear... I didn't realize you would all get here so early. It's so very early. I'm glad you did, I really am though... He will be so happy. I am so glad you care. Please come." The medic looked at them uncertainly, as if unsure whether the guardians would follow him or not.
