Once home to a race of people called the Shadow Rogue the shadow island is still hidden from many, but seems to be more revealed as of late. It is a rather large island between the mist content and the glasica continent hiding in a dense mist that is almost impossible to navigate through, and hides the island in its shadow.Oddly however the streets and the buildings seemed to be outside of time like there past glory has been brought back by some unknown force. Its gothic structures and lamps line the streets as an unnatural mist weaves in and out of the silent crevasses. The absence of people is eerie in this town in an almost different reality to the rest of new gaia. The outer part of the island is a dense forest full of wildlife and waterfalls and running water, but the Inner part of the island, is large canyon where the people lived. The houses and buildings of the city were built directly into the walls of the canyon. The Shadow Rogue people didn’t worship the summons of either side, but preferred to stay neutral. Instead they worshiped the spirits. The summons didn’t see reason to concern themselves with such a place, once its people died out. The summons have long forgotten of it and the fiends are unknown here, they could be strong weak or ones never seen of before.

Maki struggled in her sleep as she relived the battle of Dark Tail. So much death, sadness and pain filled that day in her life a year ago. A tear poured down her cheek while she slept. Slowly she woke up and looked outside her window.
"It's morning already?" she mumbled and climbed out of bed. Looking up at Greed's sword mounted on the wall she frowned and trudged down the hall to brush her teeth.

Walking down the main street of the city Zetsuei watched as the faint outline of the sun shine through the mist that surrounded the island. However no matter how thick the mist the island was bright during the day and dark at night but lit faintly by the moon. Looking over at Sai's potion shop he saw that smoke was already coming from the vent in the ceiling.
"Looks like Sai is at it already with his potions. I wonder what he is working on now"

After brushing her teeth she stumbled through the hall towards the kitchen to make some breakfast and drink her morning tea.
"Hmmmm. I'm so tired," she said putting her head down on the table and fell asleep next to her plate of sausage and biscuits.

"I better not bother Sai while he is working. I wonder if Maki is up yet"
Walking back to where Maki lives Zetsuei walks in, he smelt food being cooked in the kitchen and walked to it. As he walked in the kitchen and saw Maki asleep, and walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder
"Are you alright Maki? You have been tired alot lately"
He said as he gently shook her

Maki looked up, "Ah. Zetsuei ... I didn't hear you come in."
Maki looked around and noticed her breakfast still sitting next to her. She wasn't as hungry as she usually is, she pushed it aside and sat back.
"I'm sorry ... I don't know what's wrong with me," she said. "It's like I have no purpose anymore. There's nothing to do here, no one to help ... "

"You aren't the only one."
Shinja, the samurai who once went by the disguise name of Siris, leaned lazily against the side of the doorway, the door wide open. "Good Morning." He rested the sword that Zetsuei gave him near the doorway before quietly shutting the door. He had named the sword Kusanagi, after its maker. "It's quite late, Maki...you were still sleeping?" He took off his thin sunglasses and put them inside of his coat pocket.

Sitting down zetsuei sat his guns on the table.
"Maki you still have a purpose, we all do but it may not be apperant right nowbut you know you two can leave whenever you want, you will always be able to get back to the island though it will appear to you just as it does to me. I was thinking lately though, when I was traveling around getting familiar with new gaia in search of Katrea. We should have a reunion, with all the people who fought against Dark Tail. I still have a sword which my father wanted Katrea to have. I think it wil be safe of us to leave here, Sai has everything under control here it seems like. What do you both think of that idea?"

Maki starred at her breakfast and pushed it further away from her.
"Hmmm? Yeah, I wouldn't mind traveling again," she said barely holding her head up. "It would be nice to see Katrea and everyone again."
She smiled then laid her head on Siris shoulder and began to doze off.
'What is with me lately? Am I still mourning? Why am I so tired?' she thought to herself.

"It will do us alls oem good to get off the island, it is kinda boring beng here with is just being us. If we find Katrea, maybe he will come live here with us"

Maki woke up and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Maybe this place will be more lively with more people living here," she smiled still laying her head on Siris' shoulder.

Shinja blushed for a few seconds, his face remaining calm as usual. "Maki, I believe you may need more sleep." He then turned his head to Zetsuei. "Hmm...A reunion...good idea, Zetsuei. When should we leave?" For the first time in a year, Shinja was excited. His face, of course, still remained calm as ever.
((Call him Shinja, not Siris. If you've seen Lord of the Rings...you know how Aragorn went by the name Strider at first? Well it's like that, Shinja being his real name and Siris being the name he uses as a secret identity.))

"We can leave whenever we want. Let us gather some supplies, incase they are needed. To find Katrea though, I dont think it will be easy though."

Shinja stood up, his arm around Maki's shoulders to keep her from passing out. "In that case...I suggest we leave now." He nodded to Zetsuei as he used his free hand to pull out a pair of thin, black sunglasses, placing them on his eyes.
"Wake up Maki...we're leaving now."
Still holding onto Maki, he walked her over to the door. He then placed the Kusanagi sword in its sheath and turned to Zetsuei. "As you said, we should gather supplies first."

Zetsuei said as he stood up out of his chair and grabbed his gun and placed it in its holster which was on his left thigh
"Shinja, take Maki to Sai's shop. Maybe he can give her something that will help her. Ill go gather some things"
