50,000 years ago a tremor shook the land to the east of Epidonis and The mighty Mt kujaku rose from the sea following an almighty underwater eruption. Kujaku had previously only been a small underwater volcano. Following the eruption and settling of volcano formed from the lava high above the ocean. A magical energy seemed to begin to surround this specific volcano like no other in the world and although the volcano is now almost extinguished this magical energy remains strange noise can often be heard from deep within the volcano. Many followers of the dark magics have flocked here to study this magic and to harness it. As such the gatherings of black mages has made this a place for one to show off their skills to others and as such many have forgotten why they truly came here. Lava tunnels run deep into the mountain. Most are unexplored as the black mages now spend the majority of their time practicing for the next show instead of their original explorations.

Wamu slowly lowered himself onto his bed. It had been a hard and tiring day. But then again, it had been a hard and tiring year. A year that was slowly drawing to an end.

For one year, he had been taught the ways of the Kitsune by the lovely Muka. For one year, they had been by each others side as she pushed Wamu to learn. The harder she pushed him, the more he came to like her. It was only when she was called away for a few weeks did Wamu realise what had happened.

He had fallen for her.

How was he ever going to face the eldars of his village now. They would be carefully choosing the perfect mate for him. The one female from teh village, his own age and with the full requirements. Previous royal blood in her hertiage. No imperfects in her coat. The right personality to be a queen. They would be preparing that one female for the rigors of being a queen as he thought this. They would have been doing this to her from about her 15th birthday.

Everything seemd to be going south for him. All he could do right now was rest up. He had the trails in two days time.

Muka watched Wamu slink into his tent like he had done many a time before. Yet, now one year on, it was different from before. She had grown fond of the lost Anubite, even though she should have remained professionally detrached.

But with how closely they had been working, learning from each other daily, it just came naturally.

When with trails looming over head in just two days time, Muka was worried about a few things. One of them being whether or not Wamu was going to pass them. If he did, it was her choice if she wanted to follow him. But if he failed, she still had the choice in the matter but would have to leave the village regradless.

Depressing as it was, Muka was sure that Wamu would not have a problem with her tagging along. With a slight spring in her step, Muka quickly headed off to her tent to get some rest for the final day of training.

Wamu awoke and looked around his little tent. There was not much to it. But he felt at home in it. Partly because he knew it was just a temporary set up on his journey.

Today was a day of rest before the trails tomorrow. In the last year, only two things kept him going. The first was Muka and the second was the thought of getting home to his family.

Deciding on the course of action for the day, Wamu chose to just stay in bed. He lay back down and went back to sleep.

Muka spirred and quickly got ready. She still had much work to do for the trails tomorrow. Unlike Wamu, she was unable to just take it easy. Her role as trainer meant she had to over see the entire set up of the trails arena.

Rushing to where it was being prepared, Muka took her seat and prepared for a long day.

It was a long and grueling day, filled with nothing but questions and queries. Debates and arguments. Sitting and waiting. It had taken most of the day to prepare all of the various trail equipment and pits. It had taken less time then she had thought.

Looking closely at what was going on, Muka spied the Eldars walking around all the equipment. It was their role to inspect it and ensure she had done the job correctly. Closing her eyes, Muka awaited their response.

A short while later, someone as tapping on her shoulder. It was the Eldars and without a word, she knew everything was prepared correctly. Standing up and bowing to them, Muka made her way back to her tent and fell asleep.

Wamu slowly rolled out of his bed. It was atleast 3 hours before dawn, but there was work to be done. He needed to have to trail gear put on and the tridal paints applied. For that, he needed Muka.

In the year had he known her, Wamu had been insider her tent many a time. Yet now, he jsut stodd out side of it and waited for her.

Muka crawled out of bed. Barely standing, she fumbled around to find where she had placed the tunic that the trails required her to wear. It was just next to her bed, yet she was unable to find it.

Still fumbling around, half asleep, Muka stumbled out of her tent. Half naked. Into the arms of Wamu. The shock of suddenly being in his arms and half naked, made Muka completely alert to twhat was going on. With the biggest blush on her already red face, she darted back into her tent to get dressed.

Wamu did not know what to think. Almost as suddenly as it had happened it was over. Muka had stumbled out into his arms and then run away. She had done a similar thing before, but she did not run away. Why was now different.

And then it dawned on him. She was topless. Instantly, Wamu started to blush (not that you could see it). What was he going to do now? Was he going to pretend it did not happen? Did he make some random comment about how beautiful she was, even though he did not see anything? Almost instantly, all Wamu wanted to do was run away.

But then everything he had been striving for would have been lost. One years work down the drain. So, for now, Wamu sat down a few paces away from the door with his back to her tent.

Muka quickly darted around her tent and found her clothes. Giving them a quick once over and a glance to the door, Muka carefully changed into them and ensured that they were done up properly. She was not going to be so careless in the future.

Once she was ready, Muka stepped out of the her tent and walked over to Wamu. With a little kick in the back she motioned that they needed to get moving.

"Come on, lazy bones. Times a wasting."

Wamu pretended to be extremely hurt by the kick, but did not waste any time in following Muka. He was not quite sure as to where he needed to go, but knw that she would. Until the arrived at the prep tent, Wamu remained atleast a step or two behind her.

Muka stopped out the front of a large tent. Muka knew what was inside, but knew that Wamu would not. Lifting up one corner of the tent, Muka beckoned for Wamu to enter.

"Well, in you go. I can not help you from here on out. It is all up to you."

Wamu did not know what to think as he stepped into the tent. He glanced back at Muka, but before he could catch her gaze, she had released the tent corner. In the back of Wamu's mind he knew she was crying. But why?

Turning around to see what was in the tent, all the ligths suddenly went out and about four large Kitsune males jumped him. For a moment, Wamu struggled and then came a large blunt pain at the back of his head. Everything went black again.

Slowly, thought began to return to Wamu's mind. There was still the thobbing pain in the back of his neck. But that was not what he was concerned with right now. what Wamu was concerned with, was the thumping. The slow and rythmic thumping.

Slowly, Wamu opened his eyes and stood up. He knew he was no longer in the tent. Obvious he had been knocked out so that they could prepare him for the trails. What gave it away was the stupid outfit that he was now dressed in.

Muka quickly came running towards Wamu. Everything was going wrong. What the eldars were planning was not what she had prepared him for. When they had knocked him out to prepare for the trails, she set about finding his gear. The so called forbidden items.

It had taken her awhile, but knowing the eldars usually hiding places made it easier. With his armour and weapons tucked safely in the sack on her shoulder, Muka almost effortlessly made it too Wamu.

"Quickly, take and put your stuff on! The eldars have tricked us!"

With a quick flick, Muka threw Wamu his gear.
