Questions and Suggestions!

Before you post in here, make sure you have read the Rules and FAQ sticky in this forum - I won't be impressed if you ask a question that's been answered there!

That said... have a suggestion for the guild? Or maybe a question you'd like answered by a moderator or even one of the other users? Well, this is the place to do it!

How would you measure it? Posts, dress up, activity, some sort of contest involving making something (banners, icons, etc)? Plus, who'd pay for the prizes (if there are any)? or just a medal/banner/icon to be posted on the front page of that House's Common Room?

Flesh out your idea, it could be really good wink If you can think it out, we could give serious thought to it next year (when I move the whole of the other guild to this one xd )

Whenever contests start up what about an avatar (cosplay) contest?

EDIT: Also, what about a monthly 50/50 draw? Charge something like 50 - 100 gold to enter, winner gets half and the other half of the proceeds go towards the guild.

I had an idea about maybe starting a thread with the spells in it...maybe call it the spellbook? i don't know what purpose it would serve, its just a thought.

Check the last (and most unloved crying ) thread in the guild on page two smile It's called Spells, Charms and Curses 3nodding Post if you've got some more to add and I'll update it xd

To moonfire, we'd have to get someone that's not me to run that, since I'm not really 'up' with how those contests are officially run, but it sounds like fun. You'd probably have to change the 'theme' each month, but try and keep them Harry-Potter-y... does that make sense? Like one month it could be Teachers and the next month it could be Villians and then Animals or something... HMMMMM - good idea wink

How about posting a thread where people could be put into into houses? One of the other Harry Potter websites asks a number of questions about choices. (For example, if you had the choice to become invisable, be an animagus, or to fly, which choice would you make?) the way the person asks these questions determines what house a person would be in.

Man. I didn't answer this is so long, sorry! I didn't realise there was a new post sweatdrop Anyway, we have something like that now (not sure if it was there when you posted this), it's in the sticky where all the house threads are, as well as links to external ones.
