I get to learn to train and handle dogs and cats from 8:00am-4:00pm.
One week.
The program's hard to get in.
It's 9:04 here.
Dare I say it? I'm going to bed early tonight.
Goodbye lover, captain, mods and all members... until I get home tomorrow.
I'll tell you how it goes. 3nodding

Day one: Monday
It was very boring at first. Everyone there was so quiet...
I felt like screaming out a random word...
But I could've gotten in trouble.
Hm, actually...
I'll do that tomorrow if nobody's talking.
::happy nod::
My long hair scared a dog... a puny dog named Bass.
Bass, yes, BASS. As in I'm going fishing to catch a brown bass.
"May I please pet your dog?"
El-oh-el.
I get to look ugly tomorrow when I tie my hair up...
Kitty playtime...
Stuck in a room with a cat.
It's not that I didn't like it, it just scared me at first.
It was all in my face.
And it was licking me.
And they said some cats lick before they bite...
Their tongues are dry... felt weird...
"Ahhh, don't eat me!"
Clickers...
"Two paws on the quail toy."
*click*
...
*click*
...
I think I'm done talking to myself...
By the end of this week I will know everything there is to know about handling, greeting, training, etc. blah blah blah cats and dogs.
Ask questions if you want.
Better if I talk to something rather than myself, yes?

Day two: Tuesday
A lot louder today.
Actually, my table wouldn't shut up!
I was really quiet today.
But I couldn't figure out why.
I'm the oldest at my table.
By at least a year.
I'm the only one at my table that goes to public school...
Kitty Playtime
Two puny kittens were brought into the classroom.
They were scared but so kawaii!!!
I didn't get to make any contact with them though.
They weren't brave enough to walk around the whole circle.
U.U
Rotations...
Cats first.
We each get to go into those see through rooms.
I got a black cat named Felix (xD)
He's usually pretty shy and takes while to come around to be petted.
Within 5 minutes he was rubbing against my legs.
He put his paws on my legs (I was sitting in a chair)
And I saw this claws sink into my pants.
"Ow, ow, ow, stop doing that..."
I was okay. Felix didn't hurt me.
After that he walked in a circle then jumped onto my lap (very rare for him)
He refused to play. He just wanted to be pet.
It was very cute.
He made a big step to being adopted.
If I could get a cat, I would get Felix.
Next...
Dogs...
I got Creamer.
Training for hearing dogs.
"Puppy push-ups=sit, down, sit"
He did the tricks pretty well, but he wasn't very well behaved...
He humped another (male) dog...
(e___o)
I don't have anything else to say...
Last (and most boring)
Crafts.
This includes making cat toys and working on our scrapbooks.
I don't have much to say on that, just...
One dude at my table was mooing...

The other table people were yelling at him.
I tied up my hair today. Uglyyyy.
Oh yeah... Creamer peed on one of the other campers.
And a poodle ran away while they were on a walk.
I think they got her back though...
Lots of excitement today.
I enjoy cat time the most.
Felix is a cool cat.
I talked a lot today.
But this is like my journal.

Day three: Wednesday
My table wouldn't shut up again.
Some guy had the nerve to ask "Why are you always so quiet?!"
Lots of stuff happened today...
And I'm tired and a bit pissed off right now.
Anyhoo...
Dogs first.
The hearing dog program again.
I got an awesome black lab named Lizbeth.
She didn't make a single sound the whole session.
The only problem was that she wouldn't do the puupy push-ups, and she wouldn't spin...
And she hated the loop-muzzle thingy they put around her face.
At first I thought her nose was runny or something when she kept rubbing her face on my pants.
But when Lizbeth did it later on the floor, I figured out she didn't like wearing it.
She got chalk all over her face(and also on my pants)
I kinda felt sorry for her when the adults wouldn't let me take it off her.
Cats after that...
I was partnered up with another camper (quite annoying too)
And we got Cappy, a 8 year od black cat.
(Black cats are my favorite breed so far. Especially the lapcats.)
My partner kept swirling the toy in front of Cappy's face.
And while I was petting him, which is a big no-no.
And she wouldn't let him catch the top every once in awhile.
It pissed me off.
Cappy was a pretty good cat.
He was curled in my lap almost instantly.
His purring rumbled instead of making any noise.
My partner wouldn't let him stay on her lap for very long.
She would stand up and Cappy would run straight to me.
He's a nice cat though. Just a bit old.
Have any of you guys ever watched Animal Cops: San Francisco?
I got to meet one of the officers from the show.
The Animal Care and Control center was just across the parking lot from the SPCA.
He told us about what he does and how enjoyable his job is.
He showed us around the building a little bit.
And he showed us his van.
I saw a sign outside that said,
"Though it's stinky, soft and goopy,
You must pick up your dog's poopy"
xD
After we got back in to the Humane Ed classroom...
We had a visiter.
Some pigeon lady called Kelly who fosters pigeons.
She had two: Gimpy and Pretty Boy.
Gimpy's a boy and Pretty Boy's a girl. Yes, a GIRL.
But Kelly didn't even know until Pretty Boy laid an egg one year.
Pretty Boy could fly and Gimpy couldn't.
Pretty Boy flew on random people's heads.
She likes people.
She did her mating kiss to everybody's fingers.
I didn't get the chance but I guess it probably tickled.
They were really clean and soft.
Pigeons are my friends. ^-^
I told my mom the story about the pigeons and she was all like..
"But aren't they pigeons? Like PIGEON pigeons?!"
I couldn't understand why she thought they were so bad.
We left at 4:00 with Otter Pops (Which the counseler called Otter Poops.)
That was a really long entry.
And I'm really pissed about my brother bringing his friends over here to play video games after they went to see a movie.
Grr...

Day four: ThursdayThat same annoying guy from yesterday was, yes you guessed it, was being annoying again.
He had some REAL nerve today.
"How come you never smile? You always look so sad or depressed."
I felt like saying "I miss my boyfriend and I'm emo, biznatch!"
But I didn't. I held that comment back.
Anyway, let's move on to something more exciting...
Cats first!
We got to pick today (Yay!)
I picked Felix, the black cat.
He's not so shy anymore.
And If I could adopt a cat (Which I can't because of my family's allergies) I would.
Not much excitement with Felix, just that..
He kept opening his mouth when he was rubbing his face on my hand.
I didn't want him to bite me, 'cause then he'd have a less chance of adoption.
I would just simply pull my hand away and wait for him to calm down a bit.
(Which was hard since he was sitting in my lap right up to my face.)
DOGS!
We were supposed to be switching with the other group buuut...
Some retard reccomended to have everyone walk the dogs.
This really sucked because:
1. I didn't get Lizbeth like I wanted (I got pictures from the other day of her)
2. This meant 2-3 people per dog.
and 3. I was paired with the annoying dude from my table stare
I did NOT enjoy that walk.
Marcus(The annoying dude) wouldn't let me give treats to Bass(the dog we had, see first day entry for more details on Bass) when we were walking him.
After the walk, I had SO many treats in my pockets.
And he asked to let me see them and when I let him look,
He stuffed all of his treats in my pocket. stare
And I was all like "Okay, I really hate you now."
And when we were heading back to the classroom...
He was telling some other guy that "She's mad because I dumped all of my treats into her pocket"
But it wasn't only that. He had been annoying me all week.
I turned around and said "You know you're being really annoying right now" with a dirty look.
We went to the spay and neuter center.
We watched a female cat get spayed,
and a BIG male dog get neutered.
The boys were being so immature.
One had to get sent out to wait in the lobby...
I'm thinking of becoming a vet(or some job dealing with animals)
So this was good experience for me.
It wasn't too bad. I've seen worse on tv. xp
Lunch was late today. I was starving after the spaying/neutering
We watched 101 Dalmations. Well, half of it at least.
Hmm... what else did we do...
This post is getting long.
Ummm... Oh! I know how to inspect a dog(and maybe a cat).
More experience for a vet/vet tech. Yay.
I think that's it. I'll add more later if I think of it...

Day five: Friday; last day of camp
Okay, kinda forgot what happened.
I was spaced out most of the time...
Umm...
I think it was dogs first.
I was supposed to get Lizbeth, buuut
I ended up with Kramer(pronounced "creamer")
Darn counselers changed the order...
Kramer peed on my partner, and he freaked out.
That was his last warning and he had to sit on the side and watch.
We got to do agility with the dogs.
It was fun at first, but it got really boring.
Hmm...
I don't remember much from after dogs to cats...
Just that we played with Kittens, guinea pigs, and rats...
Oh yeah! I remember the kittens now.
Two girls, Denmark and Skyler.
Not much happened with them.
They were very shy.
Ummm...
I'll just skip to cats then.
I wanted Felix, the black cat.
But so did some other dude.
We just ended up sharing the room.
I didn't even get to pet Felix though.
But I guess it was equal since I had him yesterday and my partner wasn't there.
We had another visiter from Animal Caps: San Francisco.
Officer Elinore or something like that. *shrug*
She was just answering questions the whole time.
Like: What was the funniest case, the scariest one, the most dangerous, etc.
I don't have many details because I was spaced out all day.
We got prizes for the stickers we earned. rolleyes
I'm not in kindergarten!
We got a book worth $18 though...
I'll add more later if I remember.
