Summons

I've put two to a post and in alphabetical order by first name. Except for the evil characters who are at the end because they are of a different group.

Free:

Free had been trying for hours to no avail. No matter what she tried, she could not change into her mermaid form. She rested at the bottom of a river that ran into the sea. Free lived not to far from the beach where she was born, and had come here every day the past week working on her transformation. So far, all she could turn into was a pink angelfish.

That fact alown irked her. An angelfish was beautiful, but her as a Mermaid? She would be gorgeous!

Free became engulfed in thoughts of her mermaid form. She didn't notice the Giant Gold Carp coming up behind her, but it soon made its presence known.

"Free..." It said in a smooth, liquidy voice. Free the Pink angel fish swirrled around and stared at the giant Carp, a trail of bubbles showing her surprise.

"Free.." It said again. "You have been called by the great spirits, and by me."

"Who.. who are you?" She asked in the fish tounge.

"I am the Lord and God of this river, the great Golden Carp. You have been called to help this land you call home, And the Waters that fill the land with life. Your task is simple to say, and hard to do. I have given it to you for simple reasons: You have powers that can help the others. Yes, the others. There are seven of you all together. They will help you, and you will help them. Leave the river and your home. Travel with what you have on your back where the wind takes you, there you will find the start of your quest."

Of course, Free was unsure of this. A carp.. a God? She was about to contredict the God when he spoke again.

"Free.. I know that you seek. You seek beauty. You seek your other form. I have watched you the past days. You can not become that untill you are free from your own self, and see who you really are. TO do that, you must fufill this quest. Go. Help the land. Help the water. Help the people that will help you."

and as quickly as the Carp God had come, he was gone into the murky darkness of the River's deep. Free hadn't even noticed herself change forms from fish to human. But she had, most likely out of fright, and was now gasping for air. She surfaced and removed herself from teh river.

"Folow... the wind." She said, slightly shivering. "I guess I have no choice." And then she noticed that her cothing was all wet. She made an irritated noise and started to folow the wind.

Hikari:

Hikari, awake for hours looked around the dirt poor village she lived in. She leaned up aginst a wooden post. She never understood why a grand master theif would live in a town where they own nothing. She knew she'd have to move onto another town soon, stealing from the poor was stupid. You get nothing of value, and the food is only fit for beggers.

Seeing the sun was slowly reaching it seat high in the sky she knew the vender would soon start to set up for the day, with his horrible fruits and foods. But it was something. She stuffed her fingers into her pockets as she walked down the dirt road the vends stand was on. She seemed to walk past the vend right when he bent over to pick up a create of old milk. She picked up a few apples and a bunch of bananas. She put them in her bag and put it back over her shoulder. As the vend stood up Hikari just smiled and nodded "Good morning sir." He smiled back and went back to the work he had to do, not even noticing she had taken anything.

The thing was, everyone knew that there was a grand master theif but no one knew she was the one behind it. Once she turned the corner she started to smirk to her self as she pulled out a apple. Rubbing it slowly in her shirt she shined it. As a theif, everything that was shiney seemed so good to her.

She left the town for a small forset that was on the outsirts of town. She sat on a low branch of a tree that was on the egde of the woods. She started to nibble on her apple, half wondering what Kay was doing. But she really did not care, Kay was so anoying, and the fact she was so much younger then her made her more anoying to be around.

After a while Hikari was finished she let the apple fall from her hand to the ground. Her ears started to twitch. She herd something but she had no idea what it was. She looked around. She saw nothing. She jumped up so she would be coruching on the tree limb. She looked out to the village. She saw nothing. She turned towards the woods and someone was right up in her face and pretty much on the same limb as her. His shadowy figure frightened her at the frist sight. She fell off the limb but manged to land on her feet.

Looking at the stranger she groweled at him as he grinned that she had fallen off. She stood up and looked at him with a sharp glare. "Who do you think you are? Get away from me.." She didn't want to threatin to fight. She loved to do it but she knew she wouldn't win. He jumped down. He was talled and stronger looking then her, but then again he was probley much older.

He reached out and touched her fox ear, and stroked the fur on her tail as he circled around her. "Fox human? I think I have seen it all now. And what is a sweet thing like you doing here?" Hikari couldn't stood her self from rolling her eyes and folding her arms crossed. She couldn't believe she thought he was a threat. He seems more creepy then a threat. She fliched after he touched her ears and tail. She lowered her ears and let her tail lower. She hated when people pointed out the fact she was diffneret. It also made her stand out when trying to steal something.

He questions still fresh in her mind she thought why she was out here. "What am I doing here? No consern of yours. What are you doing sneaking up on people and making them fall off of a branch?" The man just laughted in her face. He was really starting to anoy her. "Well I had sometime to tell you. And plus I thought it would be kinda fun. I thought right." He laughed in her face. She wanted to soccer punch him now. "Your specail. You are chosen to help this land. You got to meet up with some other people.. Try not to fall off any trees doll face."

He laughted once again, he started to pass her. Hikari took her chance and put out her foot. He fell to the ground, face frist. She smirked and put her foot on his back. "Do you know what the chances are of me doing something like that?" The man groweled at her. His growel was much louder then anything she had made. He tryed to lift his head from the dirt. He yelled "Yo doll face, you can stop your compliaing and pack up. You got to go and you got no say in it. Now get off of me before I accually try." He pushed her off and walked back into the woods grumbling.

The sheer idea of her doing good made her cringe. And she knew nothing would come out of it. And she'd probley have to work with the people who anoyed her the most. This was not going to be a fun job.

Kira:

Kira lay in her bed staring at the moon glaring off her windowsill. Something had woke her up and she couldn’t figure out what it was. Then she heard it; someone was calling her name. She pulled the white sheets back and stood up. She heard the voice again and she started to walk toward it, her white robe trailing on the ground.

She left the building she was in and stood in front of the water fountain in her village. It was a fountain of the goddess they worshipped, Argenes. Slowly Argenes flexed her wings and turned on the pedestal she was on and looked down at Kira.

“Go help this land… There are others who will help you, but you must leave this village soon and meet them. This is your task I set you. Go now and do not give up.”

Then just as quickly as all this happened, it was all gone. The fountain was a fountain again and nothing else. Kira wavered where she stood for a few minutes and then fainted.

Awoke by the villagers in the morning, she quickly got up and packed. She left the village with a lot of regret and felt very sad but she was doing this to help them and she wouldn’t give up. She left the village waving to her friends and family.

Kouji:

Kouji was out on a walk when he decided to take the short-cut through the cemitary. He stoped to look at the tombstone with a statue of Death on it.

He started to turn away when a cold hand griped his sholder, he turned quick to see the tombstone gone and a cowled figure infront of him. The figure towerd over Kouji, and was hunched over, with a sycth in his right hand. All the color drained from Kouji's face, as he tried to run, when a cold, comanding voice called to him,"STOP AND FACE ME!"

Kouji instantly stoped and faced the thing that resembled Death, almost like he was not in control of his body. "NOW KOUJI I HAVE COME TO ASSINGN A TASK TO YOU, A VERY IMPROTANT TASK. AS YOU KNOW THE WORLD IS FALLING APART, AND ALONG WITH IT SO HAS THE BALLANCE OF LIFE AND DEATH." This time when Death spoke it sent cold chilles down Kouji's spine, as he sat and listend attentively, now more intreged than ever. "I NEED YOU TO JOIN UP WITH THE OTHERS AND BRING BALLANCE WERE THERE IS CHAOS."

Kouji had one question in his mind and that was why? But befor he could ask, Death answered."THE REASON YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN WAS FOR YOUR KNOWLADGE OF LIFE AND DEATH, AND THE POWER TO BRING THEM BOTH FORWARD. NOW GIVE ME YOUE ARM." Death comanded.

Kouji slowly moved his arm twords Death. Death seized Koujis arm and turned it over, he placed his bony palm on his fore-arm. Kouji felt his skin burn, and quickly pulled his arm away and mutterd a curse under his breath. When he looked he saw a scar in the shape of a sycth. Kouji then looked up and said, "what must I do?".

Death pointer to the scar on Kouji's fore-arm, and said "FOLLOW THAT, IT WILL LEAD YOU TO THE OTHERS, AND TO THE ANSWERS YOU SEEK, BUT BE WARNED YOU WILL FACE HARDSHIPS LIKE NO OTHER YOU HAVE FACED." After that Death slowly turned back into the statue and said nomore.

Kouji could feel the scar pulling him to the north, he raced home and packed his bags, once he was finished he was on his way.

Ryusuke:

A young man lay on the hard ground against a wall, a half empty bottle of saki sitting infront of his sluggish moving body. He sung along with another man with a grizzly aged appearance, but he couldn't have been older then 30. The younger of the two climbed to his feet, stumbling slightly, trying to find his footing.

"Sir, you are a great person, don't let anyone change that...Unless its me, then let me change you. But don't let anyone else do it, okay?" He said, his words slurred and run together. The older man nodded and continued singing as the boy walked away, staggering.

He struggled to open the door to his home, singing as he walked in. He sat on the couch, and continued singing at the top of his lungs, swinging the bottle back and forth the 'beat' he had.

"Ryusuke..." A voice, seemingly from nowhere called out. "Get to your feet." The voice rumbled.

"Hey! Get out of my house!" Ryusuke said, standing slowly and pointing at the door. He gave a puzzled look as no one was there. "What the..."

"Ryusuke, you have been chosen for a great task." The voice trembled, startling Ryu.

"Where are you?" He asked, before taking a swig of the saki.

"Put the drink down and listen!" The voice boomed. An unknown force threw the bottle out of Ryu's hand and into the wall, shattering it and spilling the little remaining liquid onto the floor.

"Hey, I wasn't done with that." He whined.

"As I said, you have been chosen for a great task. You and five others have been chosen to thwart the darkness that is covering this land. You will meet with them-" The voice was cut off by Ryu's interuption.

"Ha, find someone else. I'm not doing it." Ryu said, shrugging and laying down on his bed.

"GET UP YOU FOOL!" The voice was obviously agitated. The same unknown force that had hurled the bottle rose Ryu. "You will meet with them! This is not optional, do you understand?!"

"Fine! Just put me down!" Ryu said, nearly wetting himself in terror. The unknown force let him fall the the ground...

-The next morning-
Nothing more was heard from the unknown voice, but for some reason, he knew exactly where to go. "Damnit, why did I have to be chosen for this? What did I do to deserve this?" He complained as he packed up a hobo sack for the road. "I better be getting paid for this." He said, as he left his home and began his journy...

Tasuki:

Out back behind the pub, Tasuki took his sword in hand. The large powerful weapon, pulsating with an ancient magic that he swore one day to possess. He was afterall the guy who nabbed it. He though that would be good enough. He risks his neck to find it and even had to use it once or twice on the way back. But here is again, his eyes closed, the swore gripped and pointed out. He concentrated, finding some semblance of his center or whatever thing he overheard magic users say. He roared with a mighty swing and sent the blade downward, it hit the ground with a clank and a sudden pang of sparks.

He opened his eyes and looked at the darkness. Nothing happened... again. He shuck the sword and banged it aginst the side of the pub. Frustrated he threw the sword across the alley. "Lousy piece of @$%!" he shouted before taking a seat on the step of the door. He sighed loudly and rested his head. Dammit, i should have figured this out by now. Maybe it is just a normal sword. The boss has been wrong before. "Stupid old man..." he said right before the door opened behind him. He was pushed off the steps by its swing.

"Tasuki!" his boss yelled. "Get back to the kitchen you lazy good for nothing!" he pointed inside.

Tasuki rubbed his head and shoke the dust off of his clothes. "Hey that hurt ya jerk."

"Dont you talk back to me boy, ill throw you back onto the street!"

"Youll probably be doing me a favor." he muttered.

"What was that!?"

"Im coming, damn." Tasuki said before going over to his sword and picking it up.

Meanwhile his boss stood at the door, his mouth hung open. He had a look of utter disbelief glazed over him. He made a few sounds before pointing. "Thats... Thats...."

Tasuki looked at him before swinging the sword over his shoulder. Wearing a smug "Oh this. Yeah pretty bad huh? Its that one you were talking to that one guy about. Should have told me about it, i could have gotten it sooner. But oh well, it doesnt work like you said but stll had a bit of kick too it. Perfectly suited for the best fighter in town dont you..."

The boss was once again yelling at him. "YOU IDIOT!" he screamed in Tasuki's ear. "That sword is cursed you moron, no one was supposed to find it."

Tasuki finally answere back after his shock of how loud he yelled. "Cursed!"

"It was made by a powerful demon! Its evil! And is said to bring eternal power or eternal torment to whoever weilds it!"

"Well thats the point. That ultimate power belongs to me of course." he laughed triumphantly.

The boss yelled into his ear. "FAT CHANCE! A scrawny good for nothing punk like you doesnt have a chance with it. You have to get the sword sealed immediately!"

"Oh come on pops. I can take it."

"Im not having that evil thing in my pub, get it sealed and get rid of it or you have no place here."

"What do you mean?"

"Open your ears you moron. I will not have anything cursed in my pub. That means that piece of metal and you. Now go on, get. Hurry before that thing eats your soul or something."

"Pops... you cant be serious. I got no where else to go."

"Try the Chiari Temple in the next town over. Theyll tell you everything youll have to know." There was a pause as the boss sighed. "IM sorry kid, its my fault for all this, i should have never said anything."

Tasuki gave him a long look before adding. "Yeah it is your fault." this pissed the boss off. "But dont worry, ill not only beat this thing, but ill master this swords power. Ill come back the ruler of this country and the biggest badass anyone has ever seen." he wears the smug look again before laughing loudly. There was a bit of worry in his voice but he wasnt going to show it to anyone. Tasuki was never afraid, he told himself

The boss grumbled. "Well... dont get yourself killed."

"Who me... piff hell no im too stubborn to die." he smiled at the boss. "So the next town over right. Well traveling is more fun then washing dishes. Later pops." he waves his hand and walks down the alley... out of sight.

Celexa

The cold rain soaked through the felt of her coat. Black as night, she hid in the shadows and followed the torchlight. Becoming more bright as she weaved closer, she found a tavern with a sign reading "The Starlit Swan." The building was covered in red vines and the door looked as if it had been reconstructed using drift wood from the shore of the lake down the road. Opening with a loud creek, she was surpsied not to have everyone's gaze on her as she entered the room.

Shifting her eyes from one side of the room to the other, she noticed a swift movement, quick as a curse, going from the counter of the bar to the stairs. She followed in a calm manner. One can imagine a slight whisling as she paused at the base of the staircase before making her way up the spiral. The small of her neck tingled as she approached a cloaked figure.

"Tell me what you seek." A harsh yet weakened voice called from the darkness that rest beneath the hood.

"Only what you prove to be worthy to find." She quipped. She showed no disrespect. This man, she felt, in the core of her being, would have what she was looking for. As most live their lives, there remains a part unfulfilled and the desperate burning need for answers. This was a moment of parts, a role to assume as the dark figure asked her the question that would alter her path of existence: "What is more worthy than the power and ultimate truth of darkness?"

She looked in awe at her inquisitor, for he seemed to look into her soul, her desires and ambition. In almost instant and absolute obedience, she asked, "What must I do?" Her grey eyes unwavering at the darkness beneath the hood.

"Your path requires secrecy, deception and understanding what must be done. There are those in your path to befriend and those who must be killed. I will lead you in few ways, but you will know them, for you understand the dark." And in the next moment, the harsh voice vanished into the night though an ajar window. However, Celexa, standing in the moonlight, felt some of his presence left behind trailing in front of her like a guide. She raced out of the tavern, paused and watched the flickering of stars as she knew what must be done.

Bora

The sound of the tavern died when Bora closed the door of the back room. Turning, the demon threw an envelope onto the scarred wooden table that occupied most of the room. The cloaked and hooded figure seated behind it didn't seem at all surprised.

"What the hell is this?"

The figure didn't seem even slightly perturbed by Boras' question. In fact, he leaned backwards slightly and relaxed. A smile played around the cloaked figures' mouth - the only part of his face that wasn't shrouded in shadows.

"You are surprised I know so much about your movements? Don't be - I had one envelope sent to each of the places you frequent. We need this job done." Now the mans tone took on a more serious tone. "This is your true form?"

The demonic assassin looked down at himself, the long, black coat, the human-like, well muscled body. The chain draped bandolier-like across his chest could be disregarded as mere ornamentation, unless one knew the secret behind it. The great black, spiked weapon that appeared permanently fused to the end of his left arm glinted dully in the light. Abruptly, Bora grunted as he let his black, bat-like wings sprout from his back.

"Of course it isn't. This is just what I look like." The assassin pointed the vicious spike of his main weapon at the figure. "Who the hell offers ten thousand to get rid of seven people? I've heard of kings who warranted a mere third of the price you're offering for these hicks."

"Ah. I see you've misunderstood. You are to travel with them, not kill them." The cloaked figure tried the smile again. Obviously he was under the impression that it made him appear knowing, when in fact the opposite was the case. "You are, in fact, to become one of the seven."

Boras' eyes narrowed. To people who knew him well, which currently consisted of precisely no-one, it meant he was weighing options.

"Why?"

"Ten thousand in gold isn't enough? Oh, of course it isn't." The figure waved a hand dismissively. Boras' patience with the act was starting to grow thin. The only reason the man wasn't dead was because the demon wanted to know who was pulling his strings. He hadn't been fooled by the excuse for the envelope, either. There had been only one, and it had found him unerringly. "Let's just say... it is to our mutual advantage."

"What advantage?"

The man told him. Bora blinked.

"Wait, what?"

The man told him again, prompting Bora to take the stool opposite the man and cautiously sit. There was a clunk as the odd, spiked weapon was set on the tabletop, pointing directly towards the center of the mans chest, then Bora stared at him with his one slitted yellow eye.

"I'll take it, then. Now let's talk about the fee - it's too low."
