So. How old were you when you discovered Harry Potter? What made you read it? What did you think before you read it? After?

I was 12 when I discovered Harry Potter. Before it, I thought that it sounded weird but my friend Erin told me that I had to at least watch the movies. I watched movies 1-3 and I wanted more. I soon started reading the books and in the middle of The Chamber of Secrets, I watched The Goblet of Fire. So now, I have read books 1-6 and seen movies 1-4 and I can't wait until The Order of the Pheonix comes out in November!

Mumm. . .Can't remember. I think it was somewhere around 8. Maybe. . . . Okay, probably not, but I can;t remember when the movie came out. Fact of it is, I couldn't stand Harry Potter at first. Then I saw the movie, and actually bothered to wade through the books. Which is saying something, sicne I couldn't read more than three words back then without getting bored.
Short Attention span. . They're the reason I read so much now.

I was in the first grade when I started reading Harry Potter. At first it was stupid and I didn't want to be caught in the social tide, so whomever mentioned it to me usually thought twice for a while because I didn't want to hear about it. Then I picked one up during Library and didn't put it down. So I finished it just in time for the second one then I just kept on reading and watching the movies.

Wow. I feel old. I got into them when I was around 13-14. I'd heard a lot about them but none of the stuff I'd heard really intruiged me then one of my sisters read the first one and said it was really good, so I decided to give it a go. I was hooked from then on.

Humm, I was in 8th grade, so 13? It's actually a funny story. Me'n my friends prided ourselves on being anti-everything, so when we were assigned reading Sorcerer's Stone in my 8th grade English class I was disgruntled. Then I started reading it, and discovered it was REALLY REALLY good! But I couldn't tell my friends! So I didn't read the rest til...I think my freshmen year of highschool, maybe even sophmore! We'd grown up a bit then, and were accepting stuff that was popular, so then it was okay and we all got into the books together ^_^

I was 13 a the time. I was in my 7th grade english class when my teacher said that we were going to start reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I didn't think anything of it. After she started to read it I got into it. We had't even finished reading the first book and I was into the 2nd and was about to start the thrid almost at the end of the first book. After that day I have been hooked. I am 20 now, so I have been hooked for about 8 years now.

I was probably fourteen or fifteen (I want to say right in the middle), when I first read Harry Potter. It was about a week before I went to England, and I actually bought my copies there as opposed to the version in the States. And I remember only reading it because my best friend's sister said she would read my favorite book at the time if I read hers. So we switched and I fell in love with them. It was probably about another six months after that that Order of the Phoenix came out. I remember that prior to my friend's sister asking me to read the books, I had never heard of the Harry Potter books, even though my brother had been reading them in his class and my family had gotten obsessed with them, I didn't know they existed! I was a little dense.
However, once I had read the first one, within a week, I was through the fourth book. I was not too pleased that I had to wait for the next book to come out. And the wait for the seventh book might be the end of me! I need a conclusion!
I've been hooked for about six years now.

I was 9 when my fourth grade teacher required us to read 1-3. Ah, the series was so young then whee I didn't become obsessed until after HBP, when I was 15.
