I agree with you there as well. Gaia may very well come to a convention in Australia, but it will be Australian promoters, not the site creators etc..
It will be good to buy some gaia merch. and spin the chance wheel xd

I agree. Gaia is an American site, they'd sooner go to Europe than to here. But that's beside the point. They can't come here because 1, it's just a forum and 2, there's no way in hell they could justify it. Case closed.

It's more than just a forum, it's a community. But it is a bit unfair that we can't buy merchandise from outside the US. I'd like an OMG hat. That'd be orsm.
I very very doubt that they would ever come here. We're teeny tiny. Hardly even a blip on the world anime circuits. So I imagine we'd be waaaay down the list on places to promote to.

Truthfully, I could not care less.
Even if they did come down, I probably wouldn't go.

It'd be nice if they do go, though. :3

Here here....
Not sure why I would want to buy any Gaia Gear though.
Which conference would you have them attend if they did though?

nrasjaa it's gaia like why would you waste real money on gaian items?? I agree. There's alot more better stuff to buy with real money. I don't even donate Dx
Most Australians arn't in to anime, including me. So they wouldn't come.

Whn you say 'most' I do think you're generalising about the people that you know. There are quite a few people who like it, I couldn't vouch for that many but the various conferences here seem to get a relatively high attendance so I'd say it's pretty popular.

DNA_Guru Whn you say 'most' I do think you're generalising about the people that you know. There are quite a few people who like it, I couldn't vouch for that many but the various conferences here seem to get a relatively high attendance so I'd say it's pretty popular. most. definition = majority. A generalisation Can I say 'duh' that it's a generalisation? Which is exactly what I meant. Because dare I say all the people into anime in Aus are actually teenagers / young adults, rather then the wider target audience it gets in places such as japan. Therefore less people. And even a majority (oh my, another generalisation?) of teenagers / young adults consider anime 'geeky' and a minority group of a school, learning institution or workplace enjoy it. In my experience. Do I really need a disclaimer? -_-
edit; conferences in large cities where there is a large population so even if a minority meets it can seem like a high attendance. If you tried to hold one where I live, I'm sure 5 people would turn up.
