Can someone please type up something explaining that Novos is a place where people can converse about major world issues and discuss what changes should be made and how to make them. We also need to be clear that there is a difference between Novos, the Guild, and Novos, the Party. This distinction is clarified by Myslec below. Myslec Last night I had an idea. An idea for the future of Novos as it should be. A guild with proper structure and organization. A guild with direction and action. A guild in which people came because of their interest and intellect, because they wanted to discuss. I see two aspects of Novos that are prominent: Discussion and Action. Both are wanted, but with both in the same place, nothing has happened. I saw a distinction, a clear line between the realm of free discussion and that of action for the world. The guild and the organization would be different and separate. Without a this clear separation, the party would risk stressing it's ideas upon the guild and thereby destroying the guild's functionality as an unbiased discussion area. The guild would be a haven for free discussion where everyone could have their own ideas with out being bound by anything. There would be no decisions, perhaps some people would agree on an issue, but there would be no official decision. Actually, there would be nothing official with the guild; it would only be a place of discussion. People of the guild need not align themselves with the party; they shouldn't feel as if there is any pressure at all from the party. The party may sponsor the guild, but it should be as if the party didn't have any power there. The party, on the other hand, could use the discussion to come to decisions. The party could hold ideas. The party could have officials. The party could take action. Guild: � Discusses ideas � Doesn't align it's self with ideas � Open to anyone � May discuss feasibility of ideas or even the party itself � Purpose is to discuss the meaning of world betterment, if is it feasible, and related topics. Party: � Takes action � Can hold ideas � May be moderately selective in membership � May derive it's ideas from the guild discussions � Purpose is to achieve world betterment. Following these guidelines, the Party is restricted to the Novos Party subforum. Every other part of the guild is unrestricted. (pending approval of other Crew) This passage should also be considered: Fenris Claiborne Ones position within the guild should have no relevance with ones position in the party. Guild authority is given based on people who have helped to set up and maintain activity within the guild, and while that may or may not be an indicator for positions within a hierarchy (once one should need to be established), it is not of itself a prerequisite. Position based on merit. Applying of course, once we have the need for a hierarchy.

In this section each of the subforums, as well as the main forum, will be listed and detailed, to remove any doubt about the function of each.
Novos (Main Forum) - From the discussion of ideals, to deliberation on the best methods to preform an action, this is were all the talking is. The bulk of activity on the guild occurs in this subforum and it always contains a diverse set of topics to discuss. If you do not know where to start a new topic, start it here.
Crew - In the past this subfourm served many functions, most of which are now taken care of by the Guild Management subforum. There remain but a few sensitive topics that prevent making this subforum public, but it's use is being decreased.
Guild Management - Recruiting new members, cleaning threads, organizing the guild: these, and everything else that pertains to the upkeep of the guild can be discussed here.
Novos Party - The official home of the Novos Party. Unlike the rest of the guild, the party is somewhat selective in it's ideas.
Novos Nonsense - Come here to hang out, chat with other members, or ask miscellaneous questions; even bumping is allowed, in specified threads.
Archived Threads - All threads that have been inactive for an extended period of time will be moved into this subforum. It can, in a sense, be used as a database of everything people have talked about here at Novos.
