Biography
Antic Café was created in March 2003 by the members, Miku, Bou, Kanon and Teruki.
Not long after they started, they released their first demo tape “OPU-NGU”, which was given away for free on June 17th. It was limited to 50 copies.
On July 2nd, they released their second demo tape, "Uzumaki-senshokutai", which was limited to 300 copies. The band performed on August 2nd, together with bands like Atmos*note, CatarCiss and Minto. On August 10th, they participated in an event organized by Calmando Qual. Bands like Sclaim, Knarura and Metemu participated as well.
On September 22nd, they participated in another event, but this time with more well known bands like Duel Jewel, and Zero-one. Three days later, on September 25th they performed in an event with bands like Girl, Dead company, mei, Pumpkin Head and metemu.
On November 2nd, the band performed on a festival with Sixt A.I.S, Clavier, Aile and Raimu, and on November 21st with Sinkro, Marderay’la and duralumin. In December they participated in an event called Next Style, with Henzel, Clover, BeaU and LANDSCAPE.
2003 was a pretty busy year for the young members of An-café (the fans gave them this nickname), and in 2004 the pace didn’t slow down!
On January 23rd they had a two-men tour with Sinkro. Three months later, on April 5th, they finally released their first maxi-single called “Candy Holic”, and of course, Antic Café managed to get to the top of the Oricon indie charts!
And it should be mentioned that they are produced by the label Loop Ash, which also has a deal with bands like Scissor, Joker, Mask, Sinkro and many other bands.
Another maxi-single was released on June 9th, titled "√69", and on October 10th they released their first DVD!
There’s also a song by An-café on the compilation album Shock Edge 2004. Other bands featured on this album are Shelly Trip Realize, Gimmiku, Clover and Plu’to.
On November 24th they released their 3rd maxi-single called "Cosmos".
Their first mini-album "Amedama rock" was released in February 2005, and a month later they released the maxi-single "Karakuri hitei".
