Seems how I can't remember the poem I was gunna post that I had made I'll make this thread instead.
Who would y'all say you like as a poetry writer? And what's your favourite poem? My favourite author...I don't really know. As for the poem, it's probably Mr. Meant-to. I'll post it later.

Gosh, I have no idea. Actually, it's probably one of my best friends xd Her poetry and writing is amazing... And she's only turning 12 in December, but going into 8th grade! surprised
Once I see her, I'll ask if I can post one of her poems... She's had some published before eek

... I haven't read poetry in a while. I do remember liking a poem describing a bird though.. By Emily Dickenson(I think that's the name) if I remember.

I think I know that one... Is it this?
"Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune--without the words, And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me."
-Emily Dickinson

I think that's it. Though, like I said, I don't read poetry very often.

I... don't read poetry. XD I've only read old poetry in my Lit. class. From the stuff I've read in that class... Edgar Allen Poe is still my favorite. I don't think I have a favorite poem either, though I do like Poe's "Annabell Lee"...
Anyway, like I said, I don't read poetry.

Edgar Allan Poe, without a doubt is my favorite poet. The raven is beautiful, and Anabel Lee is tragic. I love his short stories, his dark sense of life, and his even darker ideas on death. My favorite poem, however, is The cremation of Sam Magee. It's dark too, but still completely amazing.
