I want to know why in One Piece number 1 in english its zoro and everything after that it changes to zolo, I now its zoro in japan but why did they change in translation after the first book?

I like Zoro better but it was changed to Zolo probably because of the Zorro movies and probably didn't want people to think that One Piece or 4Kids was affiliated with them.

The Demon Eater Obito I like Zoro better but it was changed to Zolo probably because of the Zorro movies and probably didn't want people to think that One Piece or 4Kids was affiliated with them. thats probably why but why would they have to change the name in the manga Yeah, I noticed that. About halfway through the first graphic novel (somewhere around there) it was abruptly changed from Zoro to Zolo also early on in the anime, too. I always thought it was about the Zorro movies, like you said.

I always thought it was about the Zorro movies, like you said. Z and L are pronounced the same in japanise. So Rufi is Luffy in english Shonen jump screwed up by keeping it as an R causing an uproar and many volumes of one piece needing a name change within it's chapters

i dont understand what the big deal was anyways.. isnt the zoro and the masked dude totally different names.. i thought the masked dude was Zorro with two r's

Thats what I thought to but I would be happier if there was some deeper meaning behing it
