So, this is a fairly long intro because I worked on it over time while browsing other things, and it kind of grew. I'm a geek like that. I admit it. :3
Honestly, people probably wouldn't really expect us to like enemies. I mean, they do get annoying after a while - you fight some three hundred things that you swear are rats but still insist on poisoning and you'll get pissed too. But I was thinking about it, and y'know, there are some enemies that I really liked in the Square and Enix games.
And a note: a lot of these monsters have different names in different games (well, on the Final Fantasy list) but the same principles sitll apply. I'm just too lazy to list off all the names and variations. e_e

Final Fantasy Enemies
Ahriman
I really like Ahriman. I've never been able to figure out why - especially since I started loving them in FFVII, where they're giant, bloated eyes with tiny wings and teeth that would probably prevent them from eating anything properly. I don't know. I just love the floaty-eyes - the FFT example here is a lot better than the FFVII one, I think. I'd love to have one of these guys as a pet. Could you imagine having a flying eyeball just... staring at people when they came over? Hee. It makes me smile. Also, I forget what these things were actually named in FFVII; I found them there first, but the name "Ahriman" actually comes from FFT. Goddamn. Now I'm gonna have to look that up, aren't I? I hate myself sometimes.
Behemoth
Okay, I don't like this sprite. It's kinda wonky. But I'll use it because I'm not hunting down another one and I'm lazy. I don't really like Behemoths all that much, to tell the truth. But it's kind of one of those staple things - which makes me wonder why. Is a big, purple beast really that fearsome? Something tells me that I'd want to just laugh at him. Once I got really far away. Y'know what? I would be afraid of it. Ne'ermind. XD
Bomb
So, I'm not really a Bomb fan either; however, Bombs are one of the more famous monsters, blah blah blah, we all know about them and their stupid explosions and self destructing..s... and what the hell else. Yeah. These things exist solely to piss me off, I'm pretty damned sure. I can't think of any other reason for them to exist. Although I wanted to point out that this sprite looks like it would actually taste pretty good. Yeah. That's basically it. I think it looks like it'd be a pretty savoury monster. That or it'd taste like Pop Rocks and Coke. Heh. I'm betting probably the latter.
Cactuar
So I DO like Cactuar (Cactuars? I don't know - how do you pluralise it? I've always just used Cactuar...). They're cute. And strange. And all sorts of things that don't make sense but I guess that really doesn't matter since I've already listed a giant flying eyeball as one of my favourites. Heheh. Seriously though; these things can be annoying whenever you first fight them, but I still like them. Especially the whole, "Ohhhh, can't touch this~" thing. Seriously. Just picture a pair of parachute pants on one of these babies. ... I really shouldn't be considered old enough to make that joke. I'm going to go dunk my head in a bucket of bleach and hope I somehow come out younger, now.
Malboro

Okay. I'm sorry. I thought Malboros made me angry. ohbutno. If you've never played FFT, you really won't get why I hate these so much, I'm pretty sure. If you HAVE, then you can sympathize with me and the countless times I've been ******** over by these buggers on random maps. I hate anything that can confuse or charm or screw my party up mentally, I really do, but these guys excel at it. It makes me cry. Literally. I distinctly remember quite a few times (apparently I don't learn) where it had been several battles since a save, then one of these bastards came and screwed everything up. EVERYTHING. ohgodsimmahavenightmaresaboutthemnow. T-T
Tonberry
... o:! I have suddenly found my happy place, and this is it. Tonberries. I love Tonberries. I adore Tonberries. Everything I say about Tonberries is going to be entirely positive. I don't care if one of the little buggers wipes out my whole party. I love them. I'll probably just squeal and point out how incredibly cute the overly painful death my party just suffered was. Did I mention I love them? LOOK AT THEM. How can you not love them? Look into their eyes, man. Look at them. Those beady, glowing yellow eyes of evil and hatred. How can't you adore them? T____T?
