Welcome to the Ravenclaw Common Room!Hello and welcome to the Ravenclaw Common Room. This thread is designed for like-minded and like-personality...ed... people to get together and talk about off-topic things.Rules!1. Follow all Gaia Rules/TOS, as well as Guild Rules. 2. DO NOT ROLEPLAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This is NOT a roleplay forum. This is for off-topic discussion! 3. No Slytherins, Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs are allowed to post in here wink 4. Okay, this technically isn't a rule, but PLEASE don't type posts like "hello? Anyone here" because there won't be. These aren't the fastest moving of our threads and due to time differences there won't be someone here. So instead, try posting something as if there's someone there, but look for an answer the next day. It makes for more interesting discussion! biggrin
PS - LamingtonQueen drew all the mascots, so don't even THINK of stealing it, or I will SO ban you and THEN report you for art theft ninja Thanks biggrin

Ravenclaw has always been apealing to me. I never have or will like Slytherin, Hufflepuff is to "LaLaLand" for me, and Gryffindor is just so common. So this is off topic. I'm not sure I know something off topic.

lavendercute Hey ravenclaws, should I dress up as a Ravenclaw girl? I just need to go buy the tie shoes a shirt. Ooh, I thought about that. You should! I've actually been collecting bottle caps so I can make Luna's necklace. Of course, it was a little awkward when my dad walked in and asked me why I was putting holes in bottle caps. sweatdrop Not to mention that time I was lying on the kitchen floor, waving my arms around, saying "I am a lemur!" He didn't even say anything that time. He just shook his head and walked away. But I really, really digress. Do it. Dress up as a Ravenclaw girl. You know you want to.

I'm not sure what they do for Halloween. I know that for Easter last year they did something like a mask or carrots or something. I hope they do hats this year for Halloween. smile

Ravenclaw is the best thing ever. So, does anyone read books other than Harry potter? And if so, what is your favorite book besides Harry Potter?
Dress up like Ravenclaw...whoot whoot!

Besides Harry Potter, I read alot of Eric Walters books because he came to our school once and I enjoy his books. But other than that, I like alot of Fantasy books like "The Prophecy of the Stones". I like longer books, so I got happy when the Harry Potter books got longer biggrin .
Lavendercute, you should dress up as a Ravenclaw girl. My friend is going as someone from Slytherin ( scream ) and she wants me to go as a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor girl. I think it might just be a bad idea to have a Gryffindor and Slytherin together. But Slytherin doesn't get along with any house really, and I am not going as a Slytherin!

Oh my gosh! I went on a site and I found recipes from the Harry Potter movies, so now you can really see what they mean when they say how good they taste. I've tried them out, and they taste good. Butterbeer! It warms you up AND tastes great. Now in take-away form from The Three Broomsticks. Ingredients: ·1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda ·½ cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping) ·½ tablespoon butter
Pumpkin Juice! Ingredients: ·2 cups of pumpkin, chopped up into chunks ·2 cups of apple juice ·½ cup of pineapple juice ·1 teaspoon of honey (more or less to your liking ·Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg and/or Allspice (all ground, to taste)
Directions:
Step 1: Juice the pumpkin pieces by squeezing through a cheesecloth or using a juicer if you have one.
Step 2: Pour the pumpkin juice, apple juice and pineapple juice into a blender.
Step 3: Add the honey (it is recommended that you start with 1 teaspoon, as you can add some later!) to the juices and blend thoroughly.
Step 4: Add your spices (to taste). This might take some experimentation to get right.
Step 5: Chill your pumpkin juice or serve iced and enjoy!
Ton-Tongue toffee just for you, an I promise it's been anti-jinxed to keep your tongues small!
Ingredients: ·2 cups sugar ·8 tablespoons of butter ·½ teaspoon vanilla extract (or imitation) ·1½ cups water ·Additionally, a candy thermometer is required
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium saucepan, mix all ingredients and melt over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 2: Without furter stirring, boil until mixture reaches 290°F on your candy thermometer.
Step 3: Pour mixture into a greased or buttered 9"x12" pan and let cool until almost firm to the touch.
Step 4: Score surface into 2" squares with a sharp knife, but do not cut completely.
Step 5: When cool, break into pieces (this should be easier if toffee was properly scored).
Step 6: Enjoy! Makes 1¼ pounds of toffee.
