Anyway. I was in my local hardware store today, looking for doors and fence stuff with my parents when, who should walk by? None other than Bruce -Crazy Flying Gyrocopter guy from Mad Max - Spence! If that doesn't ring a bell, he played the weird alien dude who tells Obi Wan where General Greivous is in Episode 3, and also The Mouth of Sauron in the extended version of Return of the King (as well as many many other movies where he is more easily recogniseable)
So it got me thinking just how many famous people do you walk by without realising during your lifetime? I remember when I was New York I encountered numerous celebrities without realising. I walked passed Sigourny Weaver and her kid in Central Park, was in the same area of the department store where, a then relatively unkown, Halle Berry was getting fitted for her first Oscars night, and even sat behind David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer in The Jeckyl and Hyde Club (damn that was an awesome theme restaurant)
So.
Oh yeah. Walked passed, talked to or Met anyone famous?

Well, not a movie star (since this is the movie subforum), but I once saw Fred Durst (from Limp Bizkit - is that how it's spelled?) stuck in traffic in San Francisco. They weren't very famous back then, and he looked like he was trying to be noticed. Pretty amusing.
My husband has met quite a few famous people. He used to work promoting shows and stuff. He says Frank Gorshin (the Riddler from the old Batman series as well as the old Batman movie) was really friendly and funny.

I hadn’t met anyone famous sadly... Well at least I don't remember... My mom has, like she met the actress who played in the black and white movie Sunset Boulevard. It was before I was born and she was on a plane with my oldest brother who was only a baby at the time and the lady said my brother was such an angel. 3nodding My father helped build and design Disney Land and Disney World does that count? I got lots of stories but my brain is mush right now, lol. So yup that's all I got to tell you all for now.

Funny thing is I only ever went to either of those places when I was a baby, lol. So I don't remember them at all. rofl My dad was also a friend of some of the artists there so I got a few very large drawings of characters that never made the cut for Disney cartoons and so forth. whee

I went to Disney Land on my great American Trip back in '96, first place I went. It was cool staying across the road from Disney Land, and playing mini golf at the local mini golf place. The mini golf places we have here a crap, they don't have things like windmills, and castles. No we've got.....well nothing at all. All the mini golf places I've been to are just that. Like mini golf courses, where you have to just hit the ball over a small hill, or around a corner. No fancy large scale parks, with flashing lights and moving stuff. gonk
Anyhoo. I saw quite a few celebrities on my American Trip. I saw Halle Berry shopping in some New York Department store,w here she was trying on some dress for some awards ceremony. I sat behind David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer in The Jeckyll and Hyde Club in New York, and walked past Sigourney Weaver and her kid in Central Park, again in New York. It's funny though, I had no idea at the time that I was around them, it was only later when my parents told me.

And the dude comes to her house sometimes to have lunch and well she got him to sign a hat for her son which is here (it's soo cool) and my bro-in-law is gonna ask if she can get him to sign me one too. blaugh heart
EDIT: Yay, this week when the guy comes over she's going to get him to sign me a hat. whee
