The mechanism for an effective guild is all here, and the rules and systems all look very promising, but it seems to be that we've a hurdle to cross before it all works.
We'll need more members.
The mechanism won't work until we've a flow of people, even just a couple from each nation, willing to put forward and discuss ideas.
We've a few here already, and much appreciated, but we seem to need some more before things start to move smoothly.
Do we have any suggestions?

*I* am the solution to your problem! Yep, just leave it to me. ^.^;;;
I'm giving everyone in The Canadian Guild who posts here a cookie! You just watch, it'll work. They're all cookie monsters anyway.

What's scary is that it worked, I've just accepted two Canadian members. Though, I've no reply from the French so it seems they'll be staying off our books.

And as for the French, you mean you made me translate that huge text for nothing? Augh. I'll see what I can do about them, too.

Did you offer them white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, too? That might work.

Euh, no. Can you honestly see the French stuffing themselves on good cookies?
No, I'll have to find something more French...

Veelah Euh, no. Can you honestly see the French stuffing themselves on good cookies? No, I'll have to find something more French... Perhaps a light salad with French dressing. I know I've got a recipe for it around heres somewhere...

Some Camembert here and a glass of vin rouge there.

French dressing is some kind of salad dressing. I think it's made with yoghurt or something, because it's white and a little sour... *thinks* And makes great use of herbs that I don't know the English names of oOV Just not the (typical Italian?) Oil & Vinegar version

It's basically a vinaigrette with sugar and ketchup. You're right, Simplyfied; they probably don't know about it (silly French and their disregard for ketchup).
I've got some French bread and cheese lying around; how about that?

Cheese makes me think of mouse traps. Actually, maybe mouse traps would work. Just really big ones.
