There's going to be food available inside the LBCC. However, if you aren't willing to spend an arm and a leg for a simple hot dog, then there are places to eat right across the street from the entrance of the LBCC.
There is Borders and a movie theatre visible across from Pine Ave. I walked around for a bit there and notice there was Cold Stones (ice cream shop) in good walking distance. Also, Island's (awesome burgers and I recommend the Hawaiian burger) is pretty close too.

I hate the way the Long Beach hotels are so scattered. The enclosed
space of the ACC makes things really easy. It's like an anime city.
Actually the Hyatt is really close to the LBCC. Its just like walking from the Mariott to the ACC.
However, if you aren't able to book a room at the Hyatt, I can recommend the Westin as the walk takes you through the Water Fountain just right behind the LBCC. The Renaissance isn't that far off, but to me seems the farthest compared to the Hyatt and the Westin.
Every other hotel/motel other than the ones I mentioned, would be a bit of a walk.

I recently read that the LBCC is 100% reserved for AX including the
arena. It would be awesome if the arena is used for main events since
that would slash lines.
The immediate area of the LBCC is really nice with lots of restaurants and
shops (Yay cheap Quiznos).
We'll be dodging The Fourth of July in 2007 so that means no awesome
smiley face fireworks but also less non-AX crowds.
As far as I know, AX has the whole LBCC which is a good thing.
smile Even though AX is going to be in a different location, and there are a few minor inconviences like hotels being a bit further, really I think having it at the LBCC would be a great experience. The positives is really more choices to eat thats in walking distance and more stuff available just right outside the LBCC.
Just remember to buy some comfortable walking shoes as always.
