(This is my first thread created in, like, a few months. Geez.)
So I just had dinner. I made my family omelettes. I put onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes in them, as well a small handful of shredded cheese. Anyways...
It got me thinking. What else could you put in? I thought of maybe some sausage and chile peppers. What do you like in yours?

I love tamagos!! Sweet eggs... Other than that, omelette ain't my favorite food in the world. When i started out my first practical larder class, they made us cook 3 types of egg product using five eggs. After that, we had to finish them by ourselves or they'll minus points. crying
Horrible eggs..... gonk

I'm not fond of eating eggs except in quishe, but I love cooking with them. There are so many things you can do and its pretty much always easy. For omelettes I think I use...cheese (i love cheese), bacon(or whatever sandwich meat is in the fridge; fry it up then put it in the omelette), mushrooms, and honestly whatever else is in the fridge that looks yummy. My dad puts cut up steak leftovers, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. Omelettes are wonderful because they're so versitile.

I never make eggs at home since they are the kind of food that I cant make that much of and cant eat too many days in a row or I get sick...
but I did eat a really good omlette on san diego last spring that had chorizo sausage and those two portuguese sausages that go in gumbo...the languisa (sp?) and cherise (sp?) sweatdrop
It was really spicy and good, I loved it xp

For me it's all about what I have in the fridge that looks good. Oh, but in Sweden one of my uncles and I made this really good one with thinly sliced potatoes, strips of pepper, sliced sausage, onion, and I think a few other things. At home my omelettes usually involve bacon, ham, or a leftover thick meat like steak, diced onion and peppers, and a bit of cheese. I hate having too much cheese in 'em.

I've only made one omelette before, but I put chopped chives in the mixture, and then in the omelette itself spinich and asparagus. Topped off with sweet chilli sauce. It was pretty damn good.

Omlettes were where I got my start. xD
My lastest omlette creation involved cheddar, chirizo (however you spell that) sausage, scallions, green pepper, and mushrooms.
Sometimes I cook my eggs with sundried tomato oil. 3nodding

I tend to eat "classic omelettes"... ham (just have the deli cut a thick slice of ham for ya; or, if you're cooking a big ham, then you can just use slices from that), cheddar cheese, mushrooms (button, I think?), and onions. Yum... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! heart

Me likes lots of cheddar cheese, shredded ham ((it adds flavor to the eggs too, trust me)) and chopped onions in MY omelette.
