The X men. Easily. Hell, Phoenix alone would eat the DMC chars.

PShhhhhh....definetly DMC!!!! Vergil and dante alone would beat the hell outta everybody but including everyone else would be a nightmare to the X men mrgreen

Well, i was talking about this to a friend of mine a he agreed with me on what i said in my earlier post. ( he gave me some of theses ideas)
1. Dante will overcome something as stoopid as mind control because when Dante goes into his nightmare(fighting thing) he always beats it, so why not beat stoopid professor X and the other mind controlling X-men?
2. Dante is a demon. all of the x men are humans with powers. (wooptidoo)
Get the picture? ( human....DEMON)
3. if dante can get hit with boulders, lasers, wimpy demons or whatever and Defeat the lord of the underworld, don't you think he can beat a mere human with puny powers easy?
Enough said, i rest my case.

1. Nightmare attempted to use Dante's own trauma agaisnst him. Prof X will forcibly subdue Dante's mind. Prof X could easily just force the DMC team to kill themselves through mind control.
2. Phoenix, who would count as an X man, could easily toy with all the DMC cast at once by simply lifting them above the ground a few centimetres and stopping every attack telekinetically. Hell, Phoenix could simply remove the DMCU's timeline from existance, effectively wiping out every DMC character ever without even fighting them.
3. X Men characters, many of the X men themselves, are capable of warping reality and manipulating it to their own ends. They could wipe out the DMCU without difficulty. Scott Summers (Cyclops) can blow up a small planet with his concussive eye beams. Dante would not survive this unless he used Just Guard.
Seriously though, the DMC characters faced with one X man have the odds on average, tiped in the X man's favour. The DMC guys could kill people like Wolverine and Sabretooth, possibly Storm if Storm doesn't really start kicking a**, possibly Shadowcat if they kill her quickly, Nightcrawler and a few others.
Long story short, X men win this easily.

i actually think they aren't talking about the whole entire cast of X men just the originals, like the main ones in the movie. Xmen 1
i'm sure that phoenix could even start to blow up anything when vergil is quicker than the eye at full strength, he could kill her easy just chop her into pieces with his yamato. seriously!
in that whole DMc group Dante, Vergil and lucia are demons, they all have devil forms, and practically unstopable i know lady is weak and a human but she at least can do some damage.
everyone has forgotten the demons strength...we may as call them fairies if you are gonna take their power so lightly.

Ooooh the movie guys...they're pussies.
Prof X would still have the advantage though. He's able to stop an entire museum full of people in their tracks by telling their brains to hold them still.
Other than Prof X Phoenix if she fought smartly would be able to win alone again. She could pick Dante and Vergil up from the ground to keep them from moving and running around and then slowly disintegrate them. It'd take awhile but it'd work.

Hahaha, I just love how the entire view of this battle changed the moment we specified this match to the movie X Men.
And even if Phoenix slowly disintigrated Dante and Vergil, they can regenerate, remember? Just like Wolverine. In the time it takes for her to disintigrate them, they'll regenerate.

DMC crew would be able to take anything the X-men could dish out. Dante is so good that he could kill them all. Then if Vergil, Trish, Lady, and the rest of the were to team up with him it would be killer.
In short for Team DMC....
