The Playpen
The Journals of Schizy's Kats The Rules:
1. These are private kat journals, what you read here are thoughts.
2. Kats do not know what is written here, let's say Locke says he can't stand Shivs, but pretends to. Shivs will not know that.
3. Please do not post unless it is to drop off a gift. (Art and such)
House Info:
The house itself is rather small, only a few rooms and one floor and a basement, which has been turned into a playroom for the kats.. It's located on the edge of Emotica close to the area of Gaia where Rain's other house is.
The house is currently inhabited by Schizy and her four Kats: Locke, Shivs, Iris, and Lucretia. Locke and Iris have their own rooms, Shivs and Lucretia are kept in Schizy's room to keep an eye on them until they grow.

Locke Today I grew to my adult form. I like not being wrapped up in a little blanket, there's too much confinement.
Freedom. Finally. I want to meet new people. Rain tends to not let us hang around a lot. She has a lot of other obligations she needs to take care of.
It's understandable, but I want to have a social life other than Shivs and her.

Locke We got a new addition to the house today. I believe Rain named her Iris. I like her colors, they're very pretty.
Things got kind of strage today. When Rain came in tonight, she was in a frenzy, apparently Gaia is on it's way to another economical mess. Hopefully things in Emotica should be okay.
She brought over Nox today. Nox is one of her Chiangils. She's very mother-like. But I like her anyway.
Rain's out for right now. Waiting at the breeding hospital I guess for Iris's certifications and check-ups and such. Shivs is crying again, so I have to go see what's wrong. I can't wait for Iris to come so I don't feel so alone.

Locke So I went with Rain today to the hospital. I knew she had her eye on one of the eggs there, but I didn't think she'd actually buy it.
That makes another girl. Three of them, and then me. I don't care what happens, I'm not sharing my room with some girl. She says I won't have to worry about it, and that the egg will stay in her room until she's older. Same with Shivs. Iris's room is ready for her though.
I go to the store with Rain sometimes. I see a lot of other Kats there. I don't know what to say to anyone though. They all seem like they're close friends already. I don't want to not fit in.

"Locke," Rain asked gently at dinner, "Have you found any new friends yet?" She tried without success to get Shivs to eat some carrots, and they were instead thrown to the floor by the kitten. She was being quite vocal and active tonight. No one could understand her though.
Locke looked down at his plate, pushing his potatoes around with his fork. He mumbled something quietly. He didn't want Rain knowing that things were at a standstill in the friend department. "I'm out of bubbles, though. Can I have some gold to get some more?" he asked.
He looked up at Rain, who was still trying to feed Shivs. "Maybe I'll meet one of the neighbor's Kat's while I'm there." he thought excitedly.
"Sure thing! There's some on my dresser. You can take some of that and run down to the toy store, downtown," she skillfully dodged a flying spoonful of peas. Looking up she saw Locke nod happily and go back to eating.
The kitchen was small and Schiz wondered how she'd be able to fit Iris once she came. She had received a letter saying that there would be a new addition to the household and to expect it. There had been no date though. In the meantime, she had gone to the General Hospital to get Locke's registration renewed and had decided to adopt an egg. Things were going to get small quickly if Rain didn't think of something.

There was a soft knocking on the door, which was barely audible in the mess of the house. "Locke! Locke, can you get the door!?" Rain called, trying to change Shivs. She was squirming too much.
"Yes, Rain," he mumbled. He went over to the door and opened it. Outside stood a purple kat with an egg in it's arms. "Um. Hello. You must be Iris?" he said nervously. She had a cold look in her eyes.
"I am," she replied nervously. She wasn't too sure she'd trust anyone here right away. It took time to build trust.
"Oh, come in! Come in! Locke, show her where her room is!" Rain said. Shivs was now bouncing along the floor, wildly. Babbling in her nonsensical language, that only she could understand. Rain opened up the mailbox and pulled out two cards. One for Iris, and one for the egg, apparently named Lucretia.
Iris looked around the small house. There were boxes everywhere, like they had started to either move in or move out, but had gotten bored and had stopped. She entered a room that was quite larger than she expected. A green carpet, a bed and a desk were the only things inside.
"We'll head into town tomorrow to pick out paint and curtains for your room," Rain said. Iris hadn't heard her and was startled by the voice. "Things are kinda hectic around here, but you'll get used to it," she smiled gently. She hoped she could make the newest additions to the family feel at home.
Locke Iris came today. She's really quiet and a little creepy. She's pretty though. We're going into town tomorrow. I'm excited. Maybe Rain will let me go back to the toy shop to buy more bubbles!
