A dusty black female hyena stood hovering over her kill; she was some space away from the Grave yard and here the grass grew hi and the wolrd seemed to be more alive. Her kill was a youngling gazelle probably born late in the season for being so small at this time fo the year. Her maw was covered in blood and her heart pounded from the chase.

She was not above sharing her meal and was actually saddened that non of her pack was around to help her consume this tender beast. Death frightened her but she knew it to be a part of the circle of life. Today was not a day off in her martyrdom and she was soon going to go back into the graveyard to recruit, but for now she could enjoy the smell and taste of the kill and take in the fresh air.

The excruitiating sun above Anga had dampened her spirits once again. It seemed that she was not alone in her deductions as hardly anything was roaming today. Despite her own warnings for her well-being, she just didn't feel like hunting yesterday.

Way to go.

Anga had been wondering for hours looking for signs of something living or dead, or one of which she could turn the former into the latter. About ready to lie down and simply wait until it was cooler, Anga continued on through the grass.

This is it. Just into the grassy area over here, and if I don't find anything I'll just head back.

She had begun to wonder if the grass was going to be worth all the little creatures she would pick up in her fur along the way. She hadn't walked long when she spotted a lone hyena who appeared to be standing over the carcass of a gazelle. Her stomach hinged on the scent, but she had to be careful. She sat just out of sight and weighed out her options.

Crunch. Stupid place for a stick.

Lamyae's ears twitched and she glanced up for a moment, her silver eyes twitching looking for the source of the sounds. She was terrified that it may be one of Mafa's little croonies. Hyenas may be the race that she was apart of, but she was still afraid of them.

"heelllooo?" she let out a loud scared whoop, still scanning the area for the sound. Finally her eyes fell on a large hyena, more than likely a female by the look of her. The darker female raised her nose to scent the air, thinking about what to do next, was this new hyena a threat..?

You'll be fine, tell her of our ways, young one, the voice within her head gurgled as it seemed to bubble into life. Lamyae was delusional, she thought that a goddess spoke to her..well that and she saw the future.

Anga tried to avert her eyes. She could seem uninterested, it just took work. But her nose persisted towards the scent. She locked eyes with the Hyena. She was confident she could take her, easily. But what if there were others around? That could be problematic, unless she could take them all.

Anga wasn't ready for that, and she wasn't about to beg for food, so she turned back towards the way she had come. Her paces resounded in the dirt as she began her path back to the plateau. It seemed farther away then she remembered, as most things do when you haven't eaten in a while.

"Come back!" She whooped again catching a scent of the female. She started off after the strange new female. Lamyae was determined to see who this was, and against her better judgement she left her kill unattended. She had never seen someone flee from her, she was always the one trying to find the excuse to flee.

"Who are you, are you Mafa kin?" She barked again as her feet slammed the ground along the path Anga trotted. This would not due, the other female had peaked her intrest and it would not suffice to let this other one slip away with out interogating her.

Anga stopped. Her head twisted to see the other Hyena yelling something at her. Stomach, or dignity? Her mind made the choice with little thought. "I can kill my own food, thanks." She wasn't about to use the remaining energy she had to get some half-eaten meat and risk her own life at the time.

Anga turned back towards the path and scuffed an extra bit of dirt up with her hind paws as she began to walk again.

"Excuse me miss but I was not offering my kill, food is scarce in the grave yard," She grunted back, " I wanted to know who in the gods name you were." She cackled quietly. This self righteous hyena was not something she thought to keep around, Lam had not offered her precious kill, but if the other had asked she would gladly give it over.

Anga wasn't impressed. She owed no explanation. She continued to walk away, smelling the air for the hint of nearby animals.

The dusty black female let out a long laugh and started to walk back ot ehr kill in frustration. She was an alpha and should act as such, she did not need others they needed her.

"What ever you say," she grunted and broke into a run towards her gazelle.
