With a twirl and a leap Wyatt bounced onto the grass and rolled with his hind legs kicking into the air for a couple strokes before twisting onto his stomach and lurching to his feet. Rising onto his two back feet he grinned as he struck out before him and pushed back down to all four feet. With a delighted yip he sat and stuck his nose into the air. As a small colorful form perched daintily on his moist nose he almost purred with joy. Dancing with butterflies was truly a simple joy of life.
The butterfly flitted upwards again and the cream and black pup sprang after it once more.
It was a pleasant day with the pressing warmth of summer dieing away. He appreciated the new temperature and took every opportunity presented to frolic outside with his often overlooked grouped of friends.

Kaede had run away today, not for good, just away from Rei, her sister, and the rest of her siblings. Even jsut for this short time, she needed to get away, think about things. Try and put things together. Figure out why no one looked like her, why Damu and Taima had spent a lot more time with her new younger siblings instead of with her, like they used to.
She missed those times.
But she realized that someday, things will change even more. Especially with Rei causing issues. Kaede needed a friend, someone to run around with. Thats what drew her away from her family, she was bounding after a butterfly. Crouching down and pouncing trying to catch it. But it always evaded her. An unfamiliar scent was upon the air, and she wanted to seek it out. And it seemed like the butterfly was guiding her theer.

Siblings were treasured things to have, but Wyatt found them depressing at times when they didn't want to play. To him there was far little better than a good romp with friends.
But he also preferred to stay amongst the trees and away from the adults of the pack. They didn't seem completely interested in playing with pups like him when they could be doing other things for the pack or their individual families.
Rolling on his back on the grass he sat up and scratched his ear as another butterfly appeared. Face lighting up he began to get to his feet as another scent reached his nose. He froze and waited with anticipation. Another wolf! Just what he'd been hoping for.
Two wolves and two butterflies was a tango.

A tango perhaps to most wolves, Kaede found catching this butterfly a challenge. To see exactly how skilled and strong she was...compared to Rei. Kaede always felt like she was being left out, with her new younger siblings around, but it gave her more time to ehrself, which sometimes wasn't teh best of things anyway. She hated being alone, feeling alone...she detested it so much.
Yet here she was again....alone.
Sighing she crept after the butterfly, another scent tickling her nose again. It had to be a wolf, probably...least she hoped. And she hoped they were friendly, she was still too small to fend anything besides a butterfly off. She usually stuck by Damu's side or stayed with Taima, to feel safe and at home.
She wished she could feel at home away from home. But it seemed hopeless. The butterfly perched itself on a fallen tree, on the end of the log and she crouched down, inching her way closely. Surely she'd be able to catch it now...

Proving himself meant little Wyatt, atleast for now. On this day at this minute, he was on top of the world. And you could see every glint of sunshine from there.
Butterflies were lucky in that way. They could see all the world's wonders and even carried some of it's color on their wings. Butterflies, he believed, were bits of the sun that came to earth during the day but were unable to find the sun again when it got dark. Because of that they turned into moths when the moon came out and flashed dark wings through the night. But when the sun returned it brought color again so the butterflies were able to flutter refreshed and carry all the warmth of sunshine.
At the glint of another pair of soft leathery butterfly wings Wyatt bounced upwards. As the butterfly settled on a log he paused a moment and lept jokingly at it.

Kaede crept forward slowly, imaginaing the butterfly turning into Rei and she smiled, yes, if only it were Rei. Then Kaede could show her. BUt she knew Damu adn Taim would get mad if they fought. She sighed and wondered why she had to be the big sister and have to put up with Rei being how she was.
Almost there.
Wiggling her hind quarters back and forth she sprung forward, leaping in the air to whack at the butterfly, but missed horribly and toppled over the other side. Colliding with something fuzzy and hitting the ground. "I'm so sorry!" she spoke as she got up and dusted herself off, folding her ears back, "I didn't see you there I'm sorry..."

It was unexpected, to say the least. Wyatt was in the begining of his ever so frequent day dreams. Persistent and welcomed with a full heart he treasured his quiet imaginings as a release. Life her wasn't particularly hard, but it did get lonely. He played by himself quite often. Lizards, birds, butterflies. Beautiful friends, but there were some roles they couldn't play. But dreams could.
As he unexpectedly ran into something quite near his size he stumbled backwards and rolled onto his side and rose dizzy to his feet. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts he peered curiously at the other pup. How rude of him to bump into her.
"My fault. Sorry. Are you alright?" He smiled his usual lopsided grin, cocked his head appologetically and took a few steps towards her. He sat down and lowered his head slightly. He didn't like to startle others. Especially girls. They could be so nice.

Kaede tilted her head at the figure before her. He looked...different, but in a good way. It kind of made her insides go all tingley, but she shook ehr head and smiled at him, "Not your fault silly, my fault, I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing..." she said with a tail wag taking another step closer to him.
"I am just fine but are you alright?" She asked looking him over to see if indeed he was hurt and was just hiding his pain because 'he was a man,' she noted that a lot of males were said to do that sort of thing.
"I'm Kaede, who're you?" she asked with a smile, he seemed quite nice. Perhaps they could be friends...Kaede would like that. Having a friend outside the family, being able to go talk to someone and get away from Rei.
((Sorry it be so short XD <33))
