Ky stumbles softly out of the 'Critter Haven' labeled jeep. She had given Jayde the directions as she remembered them towards Kara's (assuming she's been there before) and now stepped blindly out of the vehicle. "I hope she's home.." Ky whispered softly to herself, but partly loud enough for Jayde to hear too... Destin had been missing for nearly a week (I think) and worry had settled into her greatly. The only person she'd know with an answer would be Kara....

"Well, if nothing else, I think we've made it to Karalen's house," Jayde said, trying to lighten the mood. Before her friend could get too far from the jeep, she rushed over and took her arm gently, carefully walking her up to the unfamilliar building.

Kara herself had been pacing in her home, looking out the window every now and then to see if Autumn was on the horizon or something or the other. She, too, had been missing for nearly a week, and that worried Kara as well. She knew that Autumn would never run away from home or anything. It was practically her sanctuary! So...
Upon looking out the window, Kara spotted an odd, yet familiar looking jeep drive up to her house. Who would come out to visit her, after all? Upon squinting, she widened her eyes, then ran outside to greet her guests.
"Jayde, Ky! What are you doing here?" She asked, tipping her head to the side a bit.

Kylin's head turned towards the sound of Kara's voice. She smiled softly and and bowed her head in greeting. "We've actually come to ask you something..." she spoke softly.
She took a deep breath. "Destin... has been missing for nearly a week now... and, knowing that he and Autumn are rather close, I assumed that he was here with you..." she paused a moment then gently squeezed J's hand from almost losing her balance on a rock she had managed to stop on. "Have you seen him at all...?" she asked, hopeful that she'd have some sort of a clue.

Jayde smiled a little sheepishly and said softly, "Uh, I guess I'm here as...emotional support." She knew that it sounded somewhat lame, but she couldn't think of anything else to say.
For once, Jayde stood stock still as she let her friend lean on her for support. It was strange, Ky's not being able to see, though she certainly didn't mind playing seeing eye puppy.

"Destin, too?" Kara gave a worried frown and raised her fingers up to her chin, gazing down at the ground. "Autumn's gone too..." She answered softly. "I'm sure that wherever Destin went, Autumn followed. But... where?"
She noticed Ky's blindness right away, yet she didn't speak a word about it. Feeling sorry for someone generally didn't make one feel better, anyway.

"So they're both gone?" Ky asked, worrying already from it. She bit her lip. Usually, they were good enough to ask Meli to accompany them somewhere whenever they went exploring on the island, but...
"Damn..." Nothing... she couldn't think of anything. "And you have no idea as to where they might have gone?" Her head tilted with her question. Kara seemed to have more knowledge of dreams than Ky could remember herself... If anything, she'd have a possible idea?

"Hmm..." Kara hummed out as she thought back to all the other times that couples would disappear for a time. There was only one time where two Dreams had left and hadn't returned with babies, so... what if...?
"I could be wrong, but..." She tapped her finger on her chin, looking out at the distance and towards where the portal to Nowhere would be: in the vast forest near her home. "There's only two times where my Dreams would leave with someone they love and not return for a while. One couple left so that they could become mates, and the others... Well..." The girl sweatdropped and rubbed the back of her head, unsure if the two other girls knew enough about Dreams to realize just what she was indicating. "...Went to the Temple to... er... have children."

Jayde blinked at the other girl for a moment, before looking back and forth between her and Ky. Maybe she didn't know enough about dreams but...
"They do it at a temple?" she said weakly.

For a moment, Ky... stood there... she'd have blinked if her eyes weren't covered. "You mean...?" she half gasped then turned her head towards Jayde at her outburts, partly agreeing with her, but Ryjah had mentioned temples in his mumbles of fantasies... which she quickly shut out of her brain...
"Ok... so... you're telling me, they went off to possibly start a family?" she tilted her head, hoping she heard correctly.

Kara's eyes widened to just about the size of saucers, and she blushed wildly as she waved her arms and exclaimed, "No, no! They don't... ah, do it! They... Well, they sleep - and not in THAT way! - at the Temple, and the dreams that they share with each other turn into Whisps. And that's how baby Dream are created. Not... er, that. But..." She frowned again and thought about how long it took for... say, Takikori and Ejhani to return from the Temple versus Kratos and Lloyd to return from the mating ceremony.
"Considering the long amount of time it's taking, I'd say... yes, Ky. That's what they're doing!" She finished with a grin, once again happy to be a grandmother of sorts. This happened every time one of her Dreams came home with a baby, even if they were adopted (though that hasn't happened yet). She almost fainted when Takikori came home with Ejhani and three Whisps flying around them... Luckily, she'd gotten better since then.

Without thinking, Jayde let out a sigh of relief. She liked to think that she was pretty open to new things, but that was a little much. Then, it seemed to sink in.
"They're going to make a family?" she said, almost parroting Ky's tone.

Ky just stood there as if in shock... again, blinking if she had the ability. This wouldn't be the first time that she would be a grandma... but... I guess it took it to the second time for the feeling to settle in.
She shook her head. She understood the concept of their breeding now, of course, she was accustomed to something other than the birds and the bees effect due to the critters she worked with at CH.
Soon, she smiled... Not widely, but gently... looking as if she could purr at the thought, she was really holding back tears of joy... her little boy had grown up right before her ey--... er... well... right before her....

"Well, it seems that way! They've been gone for a while now... In fact, according to the timing, they should be back any moment now..."
With that, she turned towards the woods, as if waiting for the two to emerge with little ones in tow.

As if on cue, Destin poked his head out from the nearby brush, soon followed by his love and four whisps... a tiny egg with wings softly fluttered between the two lovebirds as if trying to keep up.
He noticed Ky standing there and had a moment of joy, followed by that sinking pit in his stomach from the sight of the bandana looking thing over her eyes. Her face was was even blank, so either she wasn't happy, or... just confused as always... He looked back towards Autumn with a wide, love-filled smile, however and nuzzled her softly before walking towards everyone the rest of the way.
