And you can only bring three books. Which three would you choose?
(and no "how to build a boat" books wink )

Big, fat ones.

The Newford Tales, by Charles de Lint,
Complete Works of O'Henry
Fairies in British Folklore and Literature, by Katherine Briggs.

"The Tao of Physics" ( xd it's really long and confusing)
"Contemplations of the Universe" (endless thought)
"How to Escape Reality with Meditation" (for when I finish the other books)

Yes, that seems about right.

1) The Ultimate Hitchhikkers Guide - Douglass Adams *RIP* *all the books in one*
2) The Bible *odd, but still; it's got good stories in it* and
3) Shabanu, Daughter of the Wind - Suzanne Fisher Staples *not many have heard of this one, btu it is very interesting and it's a very good read.*

1) Hitchhikers Guide "triology" (I mean, I've already ready the entire series 19 times now I could probably just go on and read it forever)

2)Probably Don Quixote (and not because it is somewhat long, if I was going for that I'd probably bring Infinite Jest...its long and easy to read)

3)One Hundred Years of Solitude (pun intended, but I would want the book with me wink )

And here I thought I was the only person in the world who'd read them.

They're... quite odd.

Don Quixote's good too, very funny although a drag sometimes. I personally prefer the play, Man of La Mancha, because I'm a hopeless romantic and love the feeling of doomed glory in the play that is conspicuously absent in the book.

I really must say that I cannot think of just three books to bring with me... probably one on how to build gigantic help signals in the sand, and a book on fishing. mrgreen
