Most of the time, yes.
There are ways you can use it for free; example my highschool had photoshop in the finarts lab and in all the art rooms, but obiously I had to use it there. If some one can lend you a copy of the disk for an educational virsion of the softwear, you can put it on your own comp. For the full version I belive you need the registration # on the CD case and register online.
Again, if some one you know has the softwear you might beable to put it on your comp and regestier it as still owned by the orignal buyer.
