How to play Craps Craps is a game of chance and is played on a large sunken table with a pair of dice that are thrown by the shooter. (or on here go to post action, roll dice, pick 6 sided dice, and number:2)
You place your bet on the passline before a new shooter begins his roll. The objective is to bet whether the Shooter will roll a winning combination. On the first roll of the dice (the come out), the shooter wins by rolling either a 7 or 11. Rolling craps (2,3, or 12) loses. Any other numbers (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10) is called the point number and brings the game into the point phase. To win, the point number must be rolled again before a 7 is rolled. Winning here is also known as passing. If a 7 is rolled before the point number, the shooter has sevened out and loses.
Lets run through a few sample games. Tim and Jane
Jane - “hey *****, wanna shoot?” Tim- “you mean ready to take your money? Bet 10.” Jane- “I’ll put 10 down. Shoot *****.” THIS IS WHERE YOU BET. YOU BET IF TIM WILL ROLL A WINNING COMBINATION. Tims shoots the dice. The dice add to be 11. Tim - “ I win. Gimme my money.” THIS IS WHERE YOU PAY UP
Jane- “Bet 20 you can’t do it again *****.” THIS IS A NEW ROLL. Tim- “Allright, don’t cry when you’re broke.” Tim shoots the dice again. This time the dice adds up to be 7. Jane- “ damn, you won again.” 7 or 11 ON THE COME OUT = WIN
Tim- “Want me to roll again? Put 50 on I’ll win again.” Jane- “Yeah I need my money back. Shoot.” Tim rolls and the dice add to be 6. Tim- “Damn.” TIM ROLLS AGAIN, this time the dice comes to add up to 9. Jane- “ damn, ***** would you just lose all ready?” Tim rolls again and this time it adds up to 6. Tim- “You musta meant win.” TIM WINS BECAUSE HIS DICE ADDED UP TO BE 6 BEFORE HE CRAPPED OUT.
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF CRAPPING OUT Jane- “damn, I think you rigged the dice. Lemme shoot this time *****. I put 100 on that I win.” Tim- “okay, I’ll take that bet.” Jane rolls the dice and it adds up to 5. Jane- “damn.” Jane rolls again and it adds up to 8. Jane- “come on baby. I need to win.” jane rolls once again and it adds up to 4. Jane- “so close. I feel it.” Jane rolls and adds up to be 7. JANE HAS ROLLED A 7 OR 11 THEREFORE HAS CRAPPED OUT AND LOSES. Tim- “ I win, again.”
JANE NOW OWES TIM $180
Please do not continually ask to play with me. Play with other members. Just make sure they know you bet against them, and make it clear who you’re rolling with. Please finish one game before you start rolling another. Losers pay up. No sore losers.
