all in the title. i would probably not listen to them as often as i do now because the connection and the essence would be missing and the music would be dead to me or something. meg and jack complete each other as band mates so yeah.......

I would hate for Jack to only be with the Raconteurs. Jack is meant to be with the white stripes and thats how it should stay. I would cry if the white stripes broke up.

[Larn] I'd love for Jack to go solo, I don't care for Meg. BUt Jack solo is basically The White Stripes anyway. I mean think about it. Meg White is of course a signature person to the White Stripes and it wouldn't be the same without her, but where the music is concerned it's pretty much all Jack White anyway. Other then some composing on Get Behind Me Satan and suggesting the Dylan covers she's never really done anything with the music, has she. So it'd be pointless for Jack to go on a solo career, because he pretty much already is.xD

You never hear critics or fans arguing over who's the most talented Stripe, do you? It wouldn't be the same without Meg. It would be like if Ringo had quit The Beatles. Even if he was the non-talented one, he was part of their signature image that the fans adored. It's the same with Meg and Jack. If Meg quit, it would be a turn off for alot of the fans, even if they saw Jack White perform again. Because no matter how good the drummer was behind him, it wouldn't be Meg and therefore wouldn't be The White Stripes.

Well yeah, that's because The White Stripes and The Greenhornes have done shows together so he knows the bassist and the drummer quite well. And him and Brendan Benson have been freinds for a few years anyhow. ( I realize that strayed a bit off subject, so. xD)

Vertigo_Kiwi I'm not sure I'd like it if Meg quit. I like the simplicity of her drums, even if most people hate it. Yeah, people think she sucks just because she plays that way. That's how they want her to sound! She just keeps the beat and doesnt need to do all of that crazy stuff like other drummers do.
