Alrighty, story time!!
Chapter 1
"Ahh! Finally homefor the weekend." Gerard said, sitting down on the well worn couch in his living room. It had been so long since he had been back home in Jersey. "Yeah." said Mikey, plopping down beside him. "I missed it here. tour does that to you I guess. Makes you miss the places you love.""11 AM Mikey. You know what that means." Gerard said while pulling out his laptop."FANMAIL TIME!!"Frank screamed at the top of his lungs while jumping from the stairs. "You could hear that a mile away." said Mikey rolling his eyes. "Bet he could." Bob replied walking down after Frank. A car pulled up and Ray walked in with his laptop. "Mail time." he said cheerfully, sitting down on the couch next to the rest of the guys and turning on his laptop. Everyone had their own account with their own mail to respond and to ponder. However, Gerard's mail was particularly exceptional that day. beside all of the marrige proposals and MCR saved my life notes there was one that read "Adopt Me". The curious man he was, Gerard open up the mail and began to read:
Dear Gerard,
To start off I am a huge fan of yours. I am currently located in the Macabre Orphanage up in Massachusetts, an orphanage for Goth, skater, and punk like children. Well, about a year ago, someone broke into my family home and murdered my family. I sat and watched as my entire family were burtally beaten with abts until blood splattered the floor like a war zone. Since I have taken up drinking, smoking, and I cut becuase of my depression, you would have dpression if you saw what I saw too. I have been here ever since and no one here really like me except for the friends I keep in touch with from home and my friend here Sadie.I just want to be adopted by someone who understands who I am under all of this clothes and make up. I know you will. you probably won't take this offer seriously but I don't care. As long as you know how i feel I will be content. But I want you to adopt me and I am very serious. Just hear me out okay. Love ya and possibly see you soon,

After reading the letter, Gerard broke out in tears. He knew how she felt. That night he began downloading the adoption papers, this was going to be a long night. He told Mikey about the e-mail as soon as everyone else had left. Mikey cried too. Later that night, Gerard randomly looked at Mikey and said "I'm going to adopt her." "Who?" "That girl from the e-mail." "Me too." Mikey replied. "I can't let you do this yourself. Come on bro, lets go fill out those forms." They sat through the night filling out form after form together mailing them the next morning. "This has been really cool Gerard. We are going to be like parents. Oh god, at least she is potty trained." Mikey said. Gerard laughed. "Only you Mikey, only you." They smiled at each other and walked into the house.

Chapter 2
Meanwhile up at the orphanage
"Kai! I can't believe that you just sent that e-mail. I wonder if they will read it?" said Sadie staring over at Kai. She bounced up on the bed staring at the laptop with the Meassage sent message still showing. "Whatever. I don't care if they read it or not, it was sure fun to write." Kai replied. "True, true." said Sadie. "Its fun to dream though." "Yeah. Oh well.""Hey, wanna go to the store.""Sure." they walked down to the local convienience store and bought some slush puppies. They sat on the curb outside slurping their slush and talking some more. "Hey did you hear AFI's new CD yet?" Kai asked. "Nah, can I borrow it?" "Sure." She put it in her player and started bobbing her head. "Love it!" She screamed. All of a sudden, a van pulled up ouside and bickering was coming from inside. "I told you to ask for directions!" A man shouted. "We aren't lost another screamed. Another pointed to a map, "But we are on the right road."" Oh!" another shouted. They hopped into the van and drove off. "Tourists!" Sadie and Kai laughed together. They tossed the rest of their slushes and walked back to the orphanage. It was getting late. They went to bed and the next morning a package was waiting for Kai at the front door. She unwrapped it to find an i-pod with all of her favorite songs already stocked. "Oh my god!" she screame at Sadie. "I wonder who this is from." She looked but could find no return adress. She sighed. Oh well. She kept listening to the pod all day long. She listened to it for months, until a few days before her birthday.
Kai had known that people had been trying to adopt her for over 4 months now, but no matter how hard she begged, they wouldn't tell her who it was. All she knew was that they were coming for her a few days before her birthday. She was so anxious that she didn't sleep the week before her birthday. As a result, she wouldn't wake in the morning when the band came to pick her up.
She woke up staring at the celing of a tour busrd Way's arms. "Where am I?" She asked. "I must be dreaming.""You ain't dreaming kiddo," Gerard said looking down at her. "We are your adoptive parents," he said smiling.

Chapter 3
"So, let me get this straight, YOU guys actually adopted me?""Sounds kind of crazy, but yeah, we did!" Mikey said smiling. "While your on tour? Oh my god I get to go on tour too?""Yes and yes!" Frank said happily. "We are holding a party in your honor tonight so you can meet our friends." They all shouted. "When you say friends do you maen like the Used and AFI?""Yes!" They screamed. "oh my god! This is the best thing that has ever happened to me!""I bet you it is!" Gerard said hugging her."We also have a surprise for you at the end of the tour but is a secret." Ray said rasing a finger to his lips. "Awww man!" Kai said pouting. "Don't go sour on us already Kai. I thought you were nice. Don't go changing your impression." Bob said noogieing her on the head leaving her with a tuft of hair sticking up. "Ha ha very funny," Kai said sarcaticly. "By the way, where are you playing today?" "Somewhere in Mass, I'm not sure.""Cool," kai replied with a smile on her face.
Later that day after many showers were taken and the moshers were long gone, the crowds of bands reassembled to meet Kai, Gerard and Mikey Way's new daughter. In honor of MCR, Kai wore a dress resembling Helena's. Walking through the crowd of faces, many of which she knew who they belonged to. She took numerous photos, shook hands, and did a few autographs. She had a conversation with Bert about screaming and discussed bass tequniques with Pete Wentz. Overall she had a grand time and fell asleep around 3 AM. Gerard had to carry her back to the bus as the busses took off for the next location. Gerard, however, was very nervous. he swore he had seen some paparattzi around the party. he didn't want Kai in the spotlight so soon. Sure enough he turns on E! and it was the top story. Gerard sighed. It wouldn't have lasted long anyway. Soon after, Kai woke up and made pancakes for everyone (which were very good) and after some stalling by Gerard, she turned on the TV to see her face plastered all over every channel. "Oh no!" she cried. 'Well I won't fret about it. It will all die off soon." And it was true, by the last week of August, everyone forgot about her which was just in time for her Birthday. But what she didn't know was that she was just about to jump back into the spotlight.

Chapter 4
Kai woke up the next morning very startled. "Hello!" she screamed. "Get me out of this bag!""No can do," Gerard said. "We are taking you to a secret location and you can't find out.""Whatever," she replied "Can I just have my i-pod?" Gerard shoved it in the bag along with a box of breakfeast bars. "Have a good breakfeast while your at it." He added. Kai growled. this seemed like the worst birthday ever. But she was with MCR so it couldn't be all that bad. That ride was the longest ever even though it was only like 3 hours. They had been playing in Maine the day before. She kept singing her songs contently and eventually fell asleep due to bordom. She slept for what seemed like minutes but was actually hours. That is until a fog horn blasted her in her ears. "GOD!" she screamed. "FRANK I AM GOING TO KILL YOU WHEN I GET OUT OF THIS BAG!""Tee hee," he laughed. "You can come out. But we closed the curtains so you still won't know where you are." "Oh well." Kai sighed. She walked over to a cabinet and poured out a box of cereal and munched away. Looking at a clock she noticed that it was around 3:00 PM. She walked over to the TV and attempted to put on TRL. But the TV wouldn't change. "Come ON!" she yelled at the screen, smacking the remote aganst the chair. "WORK!" The batteries were out of juice. Whatever. "Hey Frank?" she asked. "Where are the rest of the guys?""Ummm.... Bob went to visit friends, Mikey and Gerard went to the store, and ummm... Ray is on a walk." Frank retorted. Kai pulled out her cell and dialed Gerard and told him to buy more batteries. After hanging up. She called for Frank, but no one replied. She decided that a peek out of the windows wouldn't hurt. After all, it was HER special day. It probably wan't anything but another Warped destenation. But something in her mind clicked, yesterday was the last show. She peeked out the window only to see tour busses. Just a surprise destination she guessed. She thought nothing of it and returned to her reading. Several minutes later, the guys returned carting groceries and other such necessities in tote. But they had an unusually large amount of make-up. Maybe they had a sale or something. "Anything for me?" kai asked. "Yes, the make-up is for you. But we are going to do it for you tonight. So toss on your favorite outfit and meet us back out here okay?" Gerard asked smiling. She tossed on her Old navy jeans and a blue Element tee with her Hippo vans. "So boys, what is the occasion?" she asked as they did her make-up." Your party of course!" the boys bellowed. "We decided to make a surprise trip to your hometown with Warped. We thought it would make a cool b-day." Frank shugged. "But it was my idea!" Mikey said smiling. "Okay look now!" Gerard said, shoving a mirror in her face. It looked just like his own, but hers was blue. It was great. "Thanks guys!" she said hugging them. "This is the best." "Come on!" Bert said busting into the bus. "The party is about to start!" And with that everyone plowed out of the bus with the birthday girl perched on Gerards shoulders smiling bigger than she had in a very long time.

Gerard put her down on the side of the stage and handed her a mic. "Go greet your guests." he wispered to her and pushed her out onto the stage. She looked through the crowd and spotted all of her old friends along with Sadie and a bunch of Warped fans. "How are we all doing!" Kai shouted. The crowd cheered with excitement "I just wanted to thank you guys so much for coming to this suprise party for me. But I would also love to thank all of the guys on Warped tour and espessially my adoptive parents, Gerard and Mikey Way! Come on out here you guys and the rest of the band too!" the guys all scooted on stage and waved to the even more excited crowd. "Well come on!" Gerard said grabbing the mic. "Lets get this party started!" Pyrotechnics went off and MCR launched into Helena as Kia jumped into the crowd and began to mosh. After all of the bands played. A coffin shaped cake was wheeled onto the stage and all of the singers sang happy birthday. Then Frank took matters into his own hands. He pointed to the giant mound of presents that she had somehow failed to notice. In awe, she stared at the Everest like mound and asked if it was all for her. He nodded. And with that she sat down on the ground and screamed "PRESENT TIME!" At that signal, all non friends left which left 16 people and some family and the bands. Present after present was a great gift and she gave so many hugs that night that she almost died. Frank had given her a bass he dubbed 'Jack' like he had named his own and Ray gave her a new laptop. Bob handed her a gift certificate from Visa. At the end, everyone left execpt for the guys. Everyone then went off to bed. But Mikey and Gerard stayed behind. "We wanted to give our gift in private." they said. "We knew it was special so.." Gerard grabbed her hand tight and pulled her behind a bus and there it was. A black grand piano with her name engraved at the top in red. "How did you know I played?" she asked. "We pulled some strings," Mikey replied. She hugged them both. "Thank you so much. I never asked for any of this.""We what are you waiting for." Gerard said. "Play it!" Kai proceded over to the new piano and sat down on the bench. She softly ran her fingers over the keys and whispered softly "You're beautiful..." before placing her hands on the keys and plaing "Call Me When You're Sober" by Evanescense complete with vocals. "How was that?" she asked while turning around. But to her amazement there in awe sat the entire warped tour, cell phones and lighters raised, with their mouths open in awe. Even Amy Lee. It was quiet enough for her to hear Mikey say softly, "That was beautiful."

"I am so sorry for waking you all up," Kai said. "You didn't wake them up, I called them. I wanted them to her too." Gerard said. "I didn't know you could sing though.That was just amazing... You should share that with more people and get a record deal or something.""Well I have this thing for playing in front of people. I just don't really enjoy it. Until I just block everything out and hear the crowd roar at the end. It makes me feel good inside. I just don't like people watching me." Kai lowered her head. "I did too." Mikey replied. "I just needed more confidence in myself. And with a little bit of encouragement from my brother here, you could change too." He smiled. Kai smiled back at him and gave him a hug. "That was all the encoouragement I really needed." she replied. "ENCORE!" Frank shouted. Everyone began to chant and everyone cheered as Kai sat back down on the piano and started up "Untitled" by Simple Plan. As she ended the final chord everyone clapped. After numbers were given out, she walked back to the bus with the guys. "How many record offers do you have?" Ray asked. "About....... 14." Kai said. "And all sorts of people who want to collaberate with and go on tour. There is one band I want to collaberate and go on tour with. But I didn't get a note from them." "What band is it!? Tell me and i will get you that number." Gerard said "My Chemical Romance." she said smiling. "Why us nerds?" Mikey asked. "Well you encouraged me to do it. That seems like enough sense to me. And you're family. Go figure.""Good enough for me." Ray said sitting on the couch. "So Mr. Way, is your band interested in collaberating with me?" Kai asked in a buisnessey tone. "I'm sure we would love your accompniament in the studio Ms. Way." Gerard said laughing. "Well if you insist." Kai said. And with that, the bus took off to Jersey, and to Kai's new home.

The bus passed a sign that read "Welcome to New Jersey" everyone cheered. "Back home once more!" they all screamed. All except for Kai. She was busy staring out the window, taking in her new surroundings. The bus pulled up to a house in Belleview and Gerard took her by the hand and dragged her outside. "Take it in kid!" he said. "This is your new home." Kai breathed in. It smelled just like it did in Foxbourough. She pulled her things and Gerard carried her things inside. "Later guys!" she waved at the bus as it drove away, bringing the guys with it. Gerard took her to her room. It was red and black, her favorite colors. There was a black and red bed, a closet, and a red desk. "We can go shopping for some more stuff later." Gerard said. "I wasn't quite sure what you would want." "It's fine," kai replied. "I just don't have much stuff to fill it with. I'm used to a much smaller space.""That is what shopping is for," Gerard smiled. "I need groceries anyway. Everything in the fridge is probably rotten by now. Well at least I can have something other than microwave dinners, assuming that you can cook." "Yes I can," Kai said. "Well, I'll leave you to get situated." Gerard said. "Okay," Kai replied. "Oh and by the way, your piano and bass are downstairs in the basement." "Thanks," she replied. "For everything," "No need to thank me," he said. "I needed someone to cheer me up. Well bye." he walked off. Kai could hear a TV somewhere in the house. "Time to get unpacked." She said. She spent several hours arranging her posters and putting away her clothes. She finally finnished with a rumble in her stomach. "Gerard!" she screamed. "What?" "I'm hungry!" "Get in the car then." he siad. They hopped into his Mustang and went off. They walked up to the store. "Umm, I'm not very good at grocery shopping," he replied. "Well I'm the one making dinner so I get to pick." kai said smiling. They raced into the store. She grabbed all sorts of fruits and veggies, deli meats and breads. Pastas, frozen meals, Ramen and some popsicles. "Those are for you and the guys." kai pointed at the pops. She pointed at some Ben and Jerry's. "That is mine. It helps me instead of cutting. So no touchie. I'll go all homicial if anyone touches it. Kay?" "Kay."
After a nice meal of spaghetti they watched the Red Sox vs. New Jersey on TV. The Red Sox won so kai cheered being a born Bostonian. Gerard frowned. She walked off to bed. "Remember Gerard, shopping tomorrow." she shut off her light and went to bed.

Kai smiled and glanced around at the beautiful room before her. The shopping had doe her some good. She ended up buying some more clothes and a bean bag chair. Nothing special. She bought some more decorative things and she was set. "Boy are you a decorator," Gerard said popping into her room. "Think so?" she asked back. "Well, it looks nice and that's all that design means to me." he shugged. She looked up. "Hey, what am I gonna do for school?""Well, why don't you just take online classes, we'll always be on tour so it would probably be the best." Gerard said. "I guess so," Kai showed no emotion and walked across the house. Kai sat down on the couch. "Do you think I'll make any friends here?" "Of course you will, the music scene here is great and besides, your friends with rockstars!!" he smiled wide.

"I'm going for a walk!" Kai screamed as she pulled a hoodie off the hook in her room and racing down the stairs. "You wanna come?" she asked Gerard as she pulled it on. Her was in the bathroom doing some eyeliner. "Nah, the guys and I are going out. You can stay here if you want though." he said while standing up straight. "Whatever," Kai replied softly and walked out the door and down the street. A few days earlier she had noticed a cemetary down the street. She wanted to check it out. As she waltzed through the wrought iron gates, a slight drizzle fell from the sky and she pulled her hood over her head. She walked among the stones, reading dates and names. There were a few on her birthday. She wondered how new the newest death was. Turned out that it was 1940. A long time ago. It didn't appear that this cemetary had enough room for more either. That was probably why it was the newest. She walked over to a stone wall on the side of the cemetary and sat down on top of it. She began to stare into the bland, grey sky. She became so fixated that when a slight hello, came from beside her that she almost fell off the wall. She looked up at the figure who had startled her. It appeared to be a boy about her age with brown hair and eyes. He had an eyebrow ring over his left eye. "Sorry," Kai said, getting to her balance once again. "Didn't really expect that," he shrugged. "My friends say I am really quiet. I startle them alot too," he half smiled. 'New here?" "Yeah," Kai said. "You go to the high school?" "No, no. I take online courses. It's easier for me." "Ahh. Names Nat, you?" "Oh, Kai! Nice to meet you nat." she shook his hand. "You probably don't know many people here. So why don't we throw a party to introduce you," nat smiled. "Well, my parents are gonna be out tonight..." Kai looked back at him. "Let's do it!" she smiled. "Cool, I'll go make some calls. Where do you live?" Nat asked. "1657 Radio Ave!" she yelled back at him as she ran back to her house.
A bit later, Nat came to her house with a keg and lots of friends.Kai turned up the stereo and began dancing around the crowds. Because she wanted to know what was going on, she remained sober. The rest was a different story. Everyone had alcohol on their breaths. Including Nat. He walked up to her with a drink in his hand and managed to slur, "Havin' a good time," in a barley understandanble manner. Then he and Kai began to make out in the bathroom. She thought, "This means nothing, he's drunk and I'm having fun." That was before Nat picked up his cell and two more guys walked into the bathroom and tried her up to the toilet. There, they began to rape her as she sat there stugglinga and crying. Minutes later her cell rang and she hit the speaker button and managed to scream, "GERARD!!! THEY'RE RAPING ME IN THE BATHROOM!!!" before one of the guys turned oof the cell. It was only seconds before Mikey and Gerard rushed into the bathroom and they heard Ray, Frank, and Bob breaking apart the party. The guys freaked and jumped from the bathroom window and ran down the block. Mikey and Gerard helped untie her and she collapsed to the floor in tears. Through her tears, she managed to say to the band who was now all hugging her, "I feel that I can't trust anyone but you guys and your friends anymore,"

Kai looked up from her spot and noticed that Frank had left. her salty tears stained her eyes as she slowly acended from the bathroom floor and steadied herself. "I need a smoke," she wispered before slowly walking out of the room and down to the front porch. She pulled the lighter from her pocket and lit the fresh smoke that she had pulled from the packet in her pocket. She inhaled a deep breath and slowly released the chemicals form her lungs and into the crisp, night air. From the corner of her eye, Kai noticed Frank, smoking one of his own. "I'm so sorry," he wispered through the air and slowly lowered his head. "It's not your fault," she replied as softly as he had asked. She took another drag before another tear escaped her eye and landed on the concrete step beside her. She dropped the cig to the ground and smothered it heavily and with anger as it hit the pavement. "It's only my own," she sat back down and covered her face with her hands. Kai removed her glasses and placed them on the pavement next to her as she wiped her eyes with her fingerless glove covered hand. Before long she found herself collapsed into Frank, her face buried into his chest, while her hands wrappped around him. "Don't let them get to you Kai," he said in a soothingly calm voice. "That's what they wanted to do. Get to you," He calmly pet her head. "Your right Frank. But that can't stop it from hurting," Kai tried to manage through her tears. Frank pulled Kai's face up to meet his. "Look Kai," he said. "What can I do to stop the hurting, because it makes me sad looking at you because...." he paused. "Why Frank?" she said, looking into his eyes. "Because I think I might like you on more than a friendly level," Frank said with a slight blush in his voice. Kai had stopped crying at this point. And just low enough for the two of them to hear, she uttered, "I think I feel the same about you,"

From that point, Kai's mind fell into oblivion. Twisting and turning through miscellaneous thoughts. When she finally came back to her senses, there was a jolt of cold on the bottom left of her mouth. She reached up and noticed it was Frank's lip ring. His lips pressed aganst hers. Kai ran her fingers through his hair. Frank pulled away quickly, as if he was startled. "Sorry, ummmm.... I-I-I just couldn't help myself. I know I shouldn't have. You have been through tonight." he said with a slight bit of sadness and sympathy mixed into his voice. "But Frank," she said, while putting a hand on his shoulder, "Love is what I really need more than anything right now. Caring, you've shown me that too. With this type of tragedy, all I need is that." she got up slowly and walked to the door. She placed her hand on the cold metal handel and pulled the door open. She took a swift look back at Frank who still seemed to be contemplating his actions. "Don't be angry at yourself for what you did because all you did was make me feel good," Kai said. He looked back at her and smiled a warm and caring smile. The smile Kai loved and ran into the house after her. Kai began to pick up some crap off the floor and place it into the garbage bag she had gotten from the kitchen. Gerard looked down at her and said, "You know, I have no problems with you throwing parties, but be careful next time." he smiled at her. "And don't forget to invite me!" he shrieked. "I bet you throw your own wild parties Gerard," she laughed back at him. "You bet he does," Mikey screamed from across the house. Kai smiled and continued to pick up trash which was suprisingly not that much. After tossing the trash, Kai changed into a tanktop and some PJ pants. She picked the remote off the couch and flipped through the channels. She remebered, nothing was on on Friday nights. She hummed and walked back to her room as she pulled out a sketch pad and walked back to the couch.

Kai managed a few squiggles before getting bored and putting the pad down. She walked over to the DVD player and inserted the "Nightmare Before Christmas" and sat down to watch. Transfixed on the TV, Kai barley noticed Frank sit down next to her. She snapped away and looked at Frank who seemed to be looking her up and down as well. "What you lookin' at," she grunted in a tough guy voice. "Something beautiful," he said and pulled Kai into his lap. Kai obeyed and sat down and watched attentativeley. Finally, the cerdits rolled and Kai finally looked up at Frank. "That ending is so romantic," Kai said while falling over in a dramatic manner. "Whatever," Frank said as he rolled his eyes. Kai got back up and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I bet you have a sensative side too Frank. As a matter of fact, I know you do," Kai pressed her lips up to Frank's and needless to say, he loved it. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. All of a sudden, Kai heard a gasp and pulled away from Frank to see the rest of the band, staring at her and Frank. Ray seemed to be enjoying himself because he was filming the whole thing, but as soon as Kai turned around, he shut it off and rolled his eyes. "How long have you been there?" Kai questioned. "About a minute," Mikey said while still staring. There was a short silence before Bob said, "Well I'll see you guys later." "Yeah, bye!" Ray waved and left with him. As the door closed, Mikey left and Kai turned her head to see Gerard with the most traumatized look on his face. It seemed to be of disgust, awe, amazement, and surprise. Either way he turned around in a huff and walked towards his room. "I'm gonna leave now," Frank said as he pecked Kai on the cheek and left the room, which left Kai, alone, in Gerard's living room. It took her only a moment to figure out that she needed to go talk to Gerard and Mikey.

Kai got up and walked to Gerard's room. She knocked for a moment and glided in slowly and sat on the bed in front of him. "Ummm yeah. Did I offend you or something?" Kai asked. "Ohhh noo." Gerard said sarcasticly. "It's just kind of bizarre to see your best freind making out with your adopttive daughter!!" he yelped at her. "It's just that he really cares and..." Gerard cut her off and said sharply, "So your saying that Mikey and I don't care about you?! This is coming from after we adopted you and.." Kai cut him off. "Woah woah woah there. I never said you didn't care. Stop putting words in my mouth! You guys care like brothers and Ray and Bob care like friends. Frank cares like, well, a guy a girl likes," "So what Kai! Do you just prance around and make out with whoever you want?" "Did you just call me a slut?!!! It just so happens that he made the first move!!!" "OH DID HE!!!! Well he wasn't the one sticking his tounge half way down someones throat and sitting right on top of him on the first day you confess your feelings!!" "Well FINE THEN!!!" Kai ran out of the room and slammed the door as hard as she could. She then leaned on the door and slid down to the floor. She began to cry again. She crawled across the room to where her blades were hidden and took one out. She placed the silver metal on her wrist and took a deep breath when Mikey walked into the room. He walked over to her slowly and removed the blade from her shaken hands. "Sorry about him," he said slowly. "He has that older sibling prtetive bond thing still going for him." "I understand," Kai said slowly. "I did the same with my brother when he was still alive. Except he was too little to have a girlfriend so I stood up for him when bullies attacked. I made a kid cry once," Kai smiled slightly for a moment. "There you go," Mikey said and got up from the floor. "He'll come around, trust me." he began to walk away when he turned around and said, "I think you and Frank make a great couple," he smiled and walked away.
