today I got a sewing machine at a yard sale for 3 dollars. the motor needsa bit of work but not much at all. its an old antique portable sears roebuck one. I lurrve it ^^

eek what a great find!!!
those are as good as any machines now-a-days, even better in some cases, we have an old singer... heart
at work we use an old bernina model, not as sturdy as our singer 3nodding

Excellent find!
I saw an antique Singer machine at a garage sale last weekend, but it had no hope of ever being operational again... not that I've attempted sewing in the last ten years or so, but I'd be more willing to try if I didn't have to worry about breaking someone else's machine... sweatdrop
