Shouldn't mods be elected and promoted based on how active and liked they are in the guild?

You shouldn't charge people just to be accepted as a crew member. Unless they donate to the guild itself, you shouldn't be charging members to become crew members by making it so they have to pay directly to you so that you can spend the gold on whatever you please! Rip-off artist!*kicks in shins*
