I made this thread because I recently got back into playing my copy (even though it is pretty boring playing solo)
I wanna how other people rate this game, and hear interesting stories of things (not that there is much to tell other than neat strategies and how strong you may have a character)
I have a FFCC save on each of my memory cards, each with 2 characters (even though the first one I made has the strongest and the weakest of all my characters)
here are the details (in order of creation)

1)Heath; Yuke; Male; Blackmage; Alchemist
Dena: Selkie; Female; Wolfie; Tailor

2)Gene; Clavat; Male; (I forgot); Miller
Rin Zeh; Selkie; Female; Shark eyes; Rancher

3)Lenore; Yuke; Female; (I forgot); Merchant
Homsar (couldn't resist xd ); Lilty; Male; Bucket head; Blacksmith

4)Rosa; Clavat; Female; White cap (classic White Mage outfit); Farmer
Cid Koo (I don't know if CC had a Cid so I made one); Selkie; Male; Bandana; Fisher

and those are my characters... here is the defend command for each race, in order of how I rate effectiveness effectiveness

Yuke (vanish guard: guards against any and all attacks for however long the button is held)
Clavat (shield: blocks all frontal assaults for button hold; not effective for area attacks and magic)
Lilty (polearm in defensive stance: same as Clavat, but halves damage rather than negating)
Selkie (backflip: same as Yuke [never tested on magic], but you must time it as you cannot hold the button and keep the effect like the others)

hows that for a start?

I like the game because it has nice music and is beuatiful to look at... my roommate says it sucks, but you really do need like 3 or 4 people to make it fun and when it comes to that, the vgcats people made this in response

oh yeah it is good, just again, you need like 3 or 4 people to get the best experience out of it
solo play isn't discouraged per se, but there are places it does get rather... nice to go with friends
Just earlier I tried to kill the Dragon Zombie of Conall Curach (3rd time in) on my latest save (the one with Rosa and Cid)... that boss fight has limited fight space as is, and with 2 Stone* Sahagins (each with 20 HP) crowding it and constantly freezing you while the big undead dragon keeps dealing damage greater than half your HP... most I got him down was 140/300 HP... then I got froze and he physically hit me (being hit while frozen deals 2x damage stressed )
I then just gave up (and said goodbye to all the diamond designs and Legendary Weapon Design I had found on the way evil )

I had the cable before I had FFCC by the way...

*all monsters with the term Stone are immune to all magic except Gravity (and then it only halves their HP once, then deals 1 point of damage from there) and all physical attacks do 1 point of damage...

POST EDIT: I just got my revenge on that dragon zombie by going there as Heath twisted
totally ignored the Sahagins, holy doing about 14 points and then Fira doing around 30 (as opposed to Cid having a 5 point Holy and having to rely on physical attacks)
(he was same strength, if not stronger on that save... 14th year xd )
He didn't last 2 minutes ninja

Yeah... So you know what I mean...
Heath's magic stat is around 70 points...
his defense is a little higher than that...
I didn't even need to use the guard command with him, his equip at the time was:
Diamond Plate; +27 def
Time Helm; resist slow +17 def
Twisted Spectacles; long range spellcasting
biggrin love the long range spellcasting biggrin

though I wish I had the magic tome design so I could make the accessory for speed-casting
