Though I don't know what the plot is about, all I can say is I CANNOT wait for the full version. The first novel was rather good and while it wasn't as dramatic as say Planetarian, it was still good. http://www.haeleth.net/narcissu2/

From what I could gather from the Demo, it appears to be a prequel to the original Narcissu series (which, by the way, was my first Visual Novel ^_^). It tells of how Setsumi first came to the hospital and of the events that led to her sense of utter denile in Narcissu 1.
I can't wait for this one to be released (only thing I would want more would be an english copy of Fate/Realta Nua for the PS2 whee )

I love the Narcissu games and their music. Then again, there's a lot of doujin visual novels I like, like Red Shift, or The Noose... the list goes on and on.
It is interesting to see how different Setsumi was at the beginning.

You didn;t mention Tsukihime. D: Well, most people wouldn't when reffering to doujin games I guess but technically it is a doujin, along with things like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

As of may 16th 2007, Haeleth has started work on translating Narcissu Side 2nd! The full version is out in Japanese, so its only a matter of time before we get the English version. *dances for joy*

the same group that is working on the Kanon series, who are apparently trying to get approval from Key in order to release the translation pack in the U.S., did the first Narcissu. the groups' names are insani & Hæleþ.

Yeah.... That's really to bad thery haven't gotten permission as of yet. Kanon's an awesome title. I mean, even more so with the whole British thing going on. I mean, it jsut seems more interesting for an American to read British-English rather than American-English

Hurry and play Narcissu Enpatsu , its not a long game, If you're a fast reader, or don't get sidetracked by the music, then you can get through it in a night 3nodding .
And slang is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder. We all have preconceptions of what does or doesn't sound good to us, so there are plenty of people who might like it in british english. I could care less really, as I like most any language so long as its well represented and not done as a parody.

i dont like british slang. its just how i am. and i am always sidetracks when it comes to trying to get through Narcissu. all the great manga and anime releases these days.
