Th queen sat as she pondered on the strange coincidence that happened at the ball. How strange was it that almost everything went wrong? Trying to forget the burden that sat upon her shoulder, she walked out side and looked at the stars.
"It may not be much, but the start of the three nations working together might be the best thing that has happened in a long time. Hopefully it will stay this way, and no harm will come to gaia.. ever."

Aki nodded in agreement at what she said. "I agree. This war needs to end before we loose everything." Hesaid while he moved from behind his hiding spot on the other side of the fountain. "But for some reason I have a feeling that everything isn't over yet." He looked down into the water of the fountain as he sat next to the queen. "I hope I'm wrong."

Her eyes widened, for she did not know of Aki's presence. "Oh, Aki I didn't see you. Sorry." she said while taking a seat upon a bench. "I know it isn't over, but I wish it was. We can just hope for the best." She turned to Aki and nodded.

"Sorry for startling you m'lady." Aki said as he gazed up into the sky. "Let's hope that fate has our side for once.." His voice trailed off as he remembered the first attack. He slightly shivered as he thought What if it happened again.

She didn't know why Aki looked so worried as his voice trailed off. Soon she would see the pictures that infected her mind of the sight of bloodshed and war. She gulped back her tears and stared at the sky. It was one of the clearest nights she had ever seen. Such beauty filled the night, but it only worsened her fright. What if all of this turned to nothing but lifeless land. And nothing lived? Everything would be black but painted with blood. Like a picture painted by a madman.
All she could do is worry more and more about the future that this world holds. She felt a cold shiver go down her spine and butterflys in her stomache.

The moon came out from behind the clouds and illuminated the quuen's face. Aki could tell that she was extremely worried about what the future held. She looked like she was about to fall apart.
I have to do something to get her mind off of all this troublesom things. But what? I know! We'll hold some sort of tournement, like in Robin Hood!
Aki stodd of and gazed at the stars. "M'lady perhaps we should hold a tournement to boost the nation's moral? It could also generate a few needed funds for us. What do you think? It might take everyone's mind off of this war." He knew he sounded like a complete idiot after the words came out of his mouth, but it was already too late to take them back.
The moon again drifted behind a group of clouds, making the courtyard significantly darker.

Aki nodded. "Shall I get started on making preparations, or do you want more time to think it over?" He stood up awkwardly and gazed up at the stars, waiting for her answer.

"Maybe just a little, I will tell you when to make preperations. I just need time to think about it." she said as she smiled and gazed at the stars. She put her hand on her chin while her elbow was on her knee. She thought about the tournement. How it might not go well. But there is still always chances she would take, to see the better of the outcome. She reminisced about the king and how he would always say she had a good heart. And how she could take all the pressure. But the king was in his bed resting peacefully. She wondered how he was doing. She really needed him.
"Well good night Aki. I am turnig in for the night." she said as she stood from the bench and walked off.

"Goodnight" Aki said as he bowed, watching her walk off. He stood there for another moment, gazing up at the stars. They really were beautiful tonight. He smiled and headed towards his room. He recently got a new room, one with a balcony that overlooked most of the capital city. He headed there so he could think, and surely be alone.

She walked up the swirling stairs that led to her room in which the king rested.
Slowly walking trying not to startle the king she kneeled at the edge of the bed to where the king was laying.
"Devlin, devlin...." she whispered.

Devlin had been laying awake for some time and heard the queen come in. "Hello my dear. I was wondering when you would come to bed. Is there anything wrong?" he asked her as he sat up in the huge bed.

He reached over and helped her onto the bed. "It's ok my darling I feel quite drained myself. I think what we need is about a week or so of sleep." he said with a small grin, but the grin soon faded. "Although from what I hear from our advisors the kingdom is in a state of unrest. They need something to bring them together. If we don't do something soon the people might begin to revolt."

Aki stood on the balcony of his room, looking down at the city. From here he could see everything that was around for miles. He sighed, and layed down upon his bed staring at the ceiling. I wonder where everyone went..It's been kinda quiet since the ball... He sat up and went back to the balcony. He stood there, his hands proping him up from the railing. In the far off distance he could see the last few rays of light shining over the mountain.
