Ah, Steve Irwin. He was a very cool dude. Anyone who insults him now is a complete jackass (and yes, I have talked to people who have). RIP Steve Irwin.

Personally, I never really liked the guy. He was reckless and a bit of a moron. But I never wanted to see him die. I was actually hurt alot more than I thought I would be when I read the news. And I feel really sorry for his family and the Zoo. And I actually miss him. I spent alot of my time drooling over Jeff Corwin and then making fun of Steve Irwin. Sorry, but some of the stuff he did was stupid. My favorite episode was when he nearly got his nuts bit of by a poisonous snake. Now all I can do is drool over Corwin, which isn't so bad but that'll make me think of Irwin. Then I'll be sad and all the happy drooly feelings will go away. cry

My thoughts generally run along the same lines as Trisylene and Jazz's; He was an idiot, but it's terrible that he's died.

Perhaps Goku2 meant how it's odd that he was killed by something as unlikely and unexpected as a stingray. I thought that myself.

He was my childhood hero. I would click on the Animal Channel and watch the Hell out of that show. I liked him because he was invincible. Then I heard he had been stung by a sting ray.

"Okay" I thought. Because he was bitten by snakes before, been in some danger and he always got out of it. The day I heard I sat up half the night, watching shows about him. The news, I remember the news. My childhood hero, the man I thought to be invincible, had succumbed to the cold hand of death.

Do not go gentle into that good night!

Meh, I had never watched the show. I had heard of him, though, so I wasn't surprised that he had died from something an animal did to him. I have since seen reruns, and that only made me surprised that he hadn't died sooner 0.o

I appreciate him and he should've had a more extreme death from something other than a stingray.
