Hello, I felt it was kinda quiet in here so I thought let me add another story. blaugh 3nodding
Right the history behind this one is...
It was meant to be for my uni 1st year work but it turned out to be wrong crying . The theme was life writing and I wrote about a dream which was right he just wanted two points of view and not just one! (I just really hope this dream doesn't come true!) eek
Bascial I must have seen or eaten something dodgy that night and saw this in my mind. The esscence of it is true but I had to add bits here and there. You'll notice it's in the 1st and 3rd person... that purposely done. Hey maybe I'll pose the correct assignment in here too.
Enjoy!!!
Lucid dream: A lost phantom.
March 11th, 2004: Croydon Clock tower
The sky clouded over with a browny-orange glow that flooded the area of Croydon. The streets were oddly quiet. No people, no vehicles, no creatures and no elements wondered around. Pushed up against the wall of the city’s biggest library were three specialist head-hunters geared in black with military firearms pressed against their chests. They listened for any activity from within the building. They were after Durward, a B-listed gatekeeper who wanted to unleash a creature into the world. For what purpose, they didn’t know.
The female team-leader gave her orders with tight hand gestures. She held up three fingers in the direction of the doors which they then crept towards. Through the glass doors they could see the interior had already being altered for a summoning. Aisha, the female leader pressed her teeth together seething the air thought the gaps. They had to move now, if they waited any longer it would be too late. They penetrated through the glass doors and ran up a flight of stairs to the first floor. From the balcony they could see exactly what was going on. The three of them lifted their glass protectors from over their eyes and looked down. Dead bodies lined the floor and blood turned the yellow tiles orange. The bodies belonged to the gatekeepers hence men, but who took them out? Aisha placed the handle of her gun on the floor and leaned over the edge to see who was fighting. In the same black gear and using the same military know how, fought their comrade Tyler. Damn, what was he doing here on his own? From a door at the far north of the room poured six more hence men who charged for Tyler with their guns positioned to fire. Aisha gasped. She quickly caught the eyes of her two comrades and wiped her hand by her neck then scooped her hand to the edge of the wall. “Jump down and take them out!” Was her command!
They positioned their guns to their eyes and shot three of the hence men. Before anyone could look up to see where the shots came from Aisha and her team jumped down to join Tyler.
“Who told you to act on your own?” She demanded.
“I was wondering when you’d get here.” He shot a smile at her but she shut her glass protector down and began shooting at another twelve hence men who came out.
“I picked up some stuff from these guys,” Tyler shouted over the gunfire. “They were all carrying enhancers. There were blue, yellow and orange ones. They’re up to something bad.”
“What have you gathered?” Aisha shouted while changing her magazine.
“The guy behind all this isn’t Durward... it’s-”
The north wall exploded and three giants raged out. These giants were built for battle. They had no weapons in their hands. Their size was their weapon. Aisha’s eyes widened and her hands dropped slightly. She searched for her team but her eyes fell on something alarming. On the east wall lined up and looking down on them were four Gods. Two muttered to themselves.
“Is this how it is going to be?” The one in crystal white said.
The one beside him, in a dusty grey overall answered with curiosity. “Something doesn’t appear to be right.”
She had no time to sightsee, those giants were charging towards them.
“FALL BACK!” She shouted.
She waited for her now three-man team to go before she herself left the scene but Tyler grabbed her arm.
“Coward!” He spat.
“Are you crazy?!”
Tyler then grinned. “Someone has plans of his own. Get outta here!”
He pushed Aisha back and ran forward to fight the giants. She could do nothing but retired with her team.
* * *
What the hell did he think he was doing going at them alone? Forget him, I had no time to think about him I had to see where my team ran to. I jumped through the glass door back outside. What was going on here? One minute the streets were empty, not a living soul touch the pavement, now it was inundated with people. The clouds had cleared over and the black night could be seen. There was something wrong. These people that I passed to find my team weren’t even awake. They were all sleepwalking. Aw, forget this!
I ran towards Fairfield hall but found I didn’t have to go to far. I went thought the underpass and heard someone call my name.
“Aisha, this way!” A black hand waved.
Josh and Dwayne were seen at the bus stop and I headed towards them thought the sleeping people.
“Were did these people all come from?” I asked as I approached.
They couldn’t answer. Instead they directed my gaze to the blue phantom that hovered in the sky. Oh no! Too late! Durward had started the summoning and something transparent struggled to step out of the broken seal. It’s foot crushed the college that was beneath it, then a head forced out destroying the office blocks and home office that surrounded the area, a thick body stretched out then a meaty tail wiped at the court hall and Fairfield hall. Everything was levelled when that phantom dinosaur was released. What the hell was Durward thinking?! That monster had the power to destroy the living just by opening its mouth. What did he have planned?
“There’s nothing we can do?” Josh said.
I breathed heavily not wanting to admit defend. But what could I do? Bullets had no effect on the creature and all these stupid people were going to die because of my slow actions. Damn it!
I stared up at the monster in resentment as it opened its mouth. No sound came out and it didn’t have to. There was something about that monster that cause everyone, even me, to fall on our fronts in agony as our backs ripped open showing our flesh, muscles and bones... damn...!
“Aisha, get up!”
My head protector was forced off and something bitter was placed in my mouth. I sucked on it and swallowed the juices. I yelled out in pain as my back closed up. I then forced myself onto my hands to see all the dead bodies around me, including my team.
“Tyler?” I wheezed coughing up blood.
“That’s what these enhancers are for, to stop the monster having this affect on those who summon it.”
I glared at him wiping my face and my forehead. “Why are you doing this?”
He flinched then broke into a smile. “And there I was thinking you were stupid.”
“You’re the one, who wants the summoning, aren’t you?” I throw my head to the left in disgust. “Why?”
I could feel his smile on my neck and shouted at him to answer but to my dismay he had already run off back into the library. He and Durward were working together.
I struggled onto my feet when someone came up behind me. It was Dennis. I bend down to pick up my helmet and turned to him.
“We have to stop Tyler, that fool summoned the monster.” I informed him.
“Why?” A scratchy voice questioned.
I looked down to the floor and saw Dwayne fighting to stand up. Josh was dead.
“I don’t know. Come on we can’t waste anymore time.”
We helped Dwayne up and ran back into the library where the dinosaur and Tyler were gathered. The room was now arranged with chairs and round tables. Tyler’s body drifted in front of the dinosaur screaming in pain and the dinosaur too roared at him. I looked around hoping there was something I could try and do to stop him but he seemed too far into his transformation. If I stopped him, he would die. I closed my eyes for a while to push the tears back.
The yelling had stopped and a heavy thud vibrated on the floor. Tyler’s body lifelessly slumped down, and the dinosaur halted from its roaring and destruction and became obedient. I looked into its eyes and saw the transformation had finished. Those were Tyler’s brown eyes.
The monster turned to Tyler’s dead body and snapped it up in his teeth before swallowing it whole. Disgusting. To digest the body became the only way he could destroy his old from. The monster turned to the exit. It jumped over us and burst through the wall. We fell back to avoid the large chunks of rubble that crashed down. Dwayne and Dennis looked at me waiting for orders. I could only stare at the mess Tyler made as that monster. I knew it was Tyler in there because he spoke about being able to merge with phantom monsters years ago. I told him the idea was probably a myth not knowing he would want to go ahead and prove me wrong.
Out of hatred I started running after him thinking of ways I could kill him in my mind. I could hear the footsteps of my team-mates behind me. I followed the levelled building all the way to Lambeth, were I used to live. He ran to my old house on Stockwell park estate.
I panted holding my knees and allowing the sweat to pour off my head. My mind ran livid. My team caught up with me and I ordered them to guard the outside. I went into my utility pack and took out a plasma unit that fitted onto the nuzzle and barrel of my gun. It materialised the bullets and shot them out as a gas that could penetrated through anything, more importantly cause a chemical reaction with other gases and surrounding atmosphere. I hoped it would go though him too, right through his damn heart!
“Are you sure you’ll be okay Aisha?” Dwayne asked.
I couldn’t answer. Emotions were not allowed in the force, but... Tyler was my good friend and I had feelings for me. How could be betray us think this? I ran up the small hill then climbed the stairs to get to the door that he hid within. The door had been knocked off the hinges so I entered and walked into the passage. I could see a small blue glow in my parent’s old room then it moved.
“Tyler!” I shouted.
I breathed out not wanting my emotions to over come me.
“Tell me why!”
“I told you,” A mixture of his voice and the beasts’ voice echoed at me.
I held my gun up.
“I want this.”
“This is stupid you know that. Not only have you destroyed your life, but also you’ve let the gatekeeper get away and you’ve killed all the people in Croydon and Lambeth!” I bellowed.
I saw a blue foot step out of my old bedroom and the phantom was now in the form of Tyler. I stood still and lowered my gun. Tyler suppressed the beast and over took its control.
“I had no intention of killing-”
“But you have!” My voice wavered.
He walked over to me and took my gun out of my hand.
“You’re a good friend, Aisha.”
“I can’t say much for you. Tell me why?”
“I’ve no reason. I wanted to give it a try. I’ll rest soon. Let me enjoy this new power of mine.”
Dwayne and Dennis ran into the building after disobeying my orders and stood behind me. Whatever... by then Tyler disappeared to an isolated place to test his power.
“What happened?”
I covered my face to hide my lazy, depressed and hurtful eyes and ordered them to forget about Tyler.
“When he’s ready he’ll come back. I gave him a green enhancer. It should return him to a human. For now we have to clean up Croydon and report back.”
End
It's kinda vague but... xd life goes on!!!
