Before that though, her parents died in an accident two years ago so she was taken in by her aunt and uncle. Her hands shifted between the jeans, shirts, skirts and dresses. She was looking for something in particular. Something black. Her blonde hair fell about her shoulders, barely going past as she shifted the bangs away so she could see what she was doing.

She had her makeup on, the colors in something to enhance the color of her blue eyes. She found what she was looking for and pulled it out. A strapless black gown that had a little sparkle to it, slits that when worn was running along her thighs. It didn't stop until her mid thigh, which she always wore a pair of shorts underneath, just to make her aunt happy.

She slipped into and smiled at her reflection in the mirror. She ran her hands down her sides, admiring how well the dress fitted her form. She walked back to her closet to grab her shoes, black heels that suited nearly any teenager.

She waited until after a song was done before leaving her room. She was waiting patiently for her date to arrive. Her aunt came into the room then having no idea that Nina was waiting for a date. "A bit much for a babysitter isn't it?"
Nina blinked at her aunt. "What do you mean? I have a date tonight with a friend of mine. It's my night off for babysitting."
"I'm sorry but your uncle and I have a business meeting to attend too and no one else is available. I need you to stay and watch over your cousin."
Nina's face showed a flicker of hurt. She should have known better then to schedule a date with anyone. She'd schooled her features just in time to see her little cousin peek from around the corner of the hall, watching the ongoings.Nina sighed. "Fine..I'll stay..."
"Thank you." Her aunt left to go and get ready herself. The cousin slipped in and giggled softly. "You know you have no life..." she said.
Nina scowled at her, her blue eyes darkening. "All because of you..." She said as she moved to sit down on the couch. She curled up there, where the slit moved over to reveal a nice selection of her leg. She wanted away but she couldn't ask for much unless Nina herself worked for it. They had taken her in...why should she ask for more?
The cousin pouted, came around to face Nina and stomped her foot. "It's not like I wanted you to babysit me, let alone live with us. Just beacause your parents died."
Nina just stared at her. Inside she felt that knife drive deeper into her heart. The cousin growled because she wasn't getting a reaction from Nina. "I never wanted you to stay here anyway. I wish someone would take you away! I wish nasty little goblins would take you away!" With that, the girl stormed off to her room.
Nina sighed...The child obviously read to much fantasy but never learned the secret lessons that dwelled withen. The child, in her room, simply said the magic words over and over..."I wish the goblins would come and take you away, right now!"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nina went to sit on the bed again. She pulled one of the pillows into her arms. She nuzzled it, feeling it's silkiness against her skin. Someone had excellent taste. She sighed as she laid down, curling up and drifting to sleep.
She recieved the call from the paramedics that were on the scene. They were giving her the news that her parents were in an accident. She felt her throat tighten, unshed tears stinging her eyes. "I'm sorry miss," came the voice.
She slammed the down and raced for her car. She was only clothed in a pair of jeans, a shirt and sneakers. She'd thrown her hair into a ponytail and was already getting into her car and driving to the scene, tires screeching as she peeled from the driveway. Did she want to know how bad it was? No....but she should know.
Upon arriving, she parked and jumped out of her car, racing towards the accident victims. She stopped in dead horror at what she saw. The car was totaled, scrunched up like that of an accordion. Her parents' heads were smashed like a couple of watermelons when dropped from a 10 story building.
A scream tore from her throat as she fell to her knees, the unbidden tears falling. "Mother! Father!" One of the officers that was there came over to comfort her but she pushed him aside. She was too afraid to go near but she couldn't look away. The image was burned in her mind forever.
On the bed, Nina tossed and turned, wanting release from the nightmare she was having.
Everything she had had been packed up as she moved into the room she had at home, in her aunt and uncle's house. She was silent, rarely speaking the first year. She appeared dazed, no life in the sapphire of her eyes....
Nina finally snapped awake, her breathing rapid as sweat beaded and trailed down her face. Tears glistened in her eyes as she grabbed another pillow and turned to it, crying softly..
