There was something to be said about a neurotic lion. They needed a bit of therapy. However, there was a lot more to be said about a neurotic lion with family issues, dellusions, and a couple of other fun little factors that could lead to... well..

Interesting... yes, that was a good way to put it. INTERESTING conversations. Namely the ones with 'spiritual' beings that didn't exist. Not that anybody was could to convince him OTHERWISE of this. In fact, that was how he had gotten where he was right then. Had he been there before? He couldn't remember. But it -did- have a sort of deja-vu feeling to it.

The adolescent male sat around the edge of the a watering hole, staring into it, past swimming fish, and at some sort of 'ethereal' being that nobody else could see. Oh yes, he had -so- cornered it.

Staring intently into the water, he paused for a moment, before looking around paranoidly. He wasn't about to start screaming at it if somebody was around. He had more sense then to set up the neon sign that said "BEWARE, CRAZY LION-BOY IS RIGHT HERE, APPROACH WITH CAUTION OR LOSE YOUR SANITY"

Or something to that end.

Feeling suitably alone, the brown lion dropped down onto his stomach, and stared into the water, chuckling and flicking his tail back and forth. Kukuku. He had it now.

((Tii's rather nocturnal, so let's just say it's night time xD))

Tii was fuming, to say the least. How dare that brat of a lion be so self centered?! A cloud of dust rose up behind the stomping doberman marked lioness as she marched across the savanna. Her pelt stained in blood from her recent meal; a meal she just deserted. Kai had seriously pissed her off. What was she thinking, trying to be nice to that neanderthal? Ugh.

The female scoffed, storming along, her eyes scanning the horizon. It was then that her emerald gaze came across a shining pool of water. A watering hole, just what she needed! With no Kai to try and drown her when she went near bodies of water, she'd have nothing to fear. And also, she needed to get this blood off of her before she went to sleep, or something looking for a quick meal would find her no doubt.

Tii's eyes glazed up to the sky. Good, it was still dark, though the dawn was coming rather quickly. She sighed, she'd need to find a place to hunker down for the night quick, or she'd roast in the sun shine. It was then, in the middle of her thoughts, that she noticed the brown lion also at the hole, on his belly and peering into the water. Tii cocked a brow and walked onward, stopping a few yards from the younger male. As she examined him, she looked over the strange markings he had on his foreleg. Odd, she hadn't seen that before... Taking a deep breath and trying to cool her temper, Tii looked to the stranger,

"Er.. Hi."

It was obvious, off first glance, that Yua was either ignoring the lioness, or hadn't heard her speak. Or perhaps it was option three of that he'd had to shut down three bodily actions in motion when she had spoken, and had, most likely, broken an inner working from hitting the breaks right after slamming the gas to go.

Eyes widening a bit, the adol pushed himself to sit up, staring at the lioness blankly, with simply a dull expression, almost as if in disbelief that he was actually SEEING something. Quirking a brow ever so slightly, however, he then took his own turn to reply to the venting female; "Hi."

He spoke quickly, as if shoving the words away from him, like one would an undesirable object, before turning to look back into the water. Curses! Distracted for a mere moment, and it had suddenly ran off with a goose.. or chicken.. or whatever.

Frowning a bit, he then simply continued to watch the water, shaking his head a bit, then dipping a paw into it, jerking it back out, and shaking the limb. It was amusing, actually, as it seemed as though he was checking to see if the water was wet.

Tii watched with great interest as thoughts ran through the youth's head. She didn't know what he was thinking, but hell, it was something alright. Tii's eyes narrowed slightly, in thought. Weird kid. Before she thought about responding to him, she watched him carefully as he tested the water. What was he doing? Well, no better way to find out,

"What are you doing?"

Tii posed her question in a slightly arrogant, but very curious type of manner. Her ears perked up, eyes windening from their glare as her eyes moved from the male to the water. She sure needed a swim. She'd indulge in one soon.

Yua's dark eyes shifted back over to the female quickly, his expression slightly awkward for a moment, before he looked back to the water, shrugging. "Just checking to see how cold it is." he noted, licking his paw to clean it of moisture, before setting it back down cooly, shrugging his shoulders a bit.

Good job, he hadn't messed up so far.

"Who are you to ask anyways?" he then replied, looking back to the female and quirking a brow. Snap. He had to get out of there FAST less she turn him into a neurotic mess of spazz-work.

Though, he'd have to admit that would be funny to at least someone.

Tii's eyes narrowed a bit, a small smirk appearing on her maw,

"It doesn't take someone important to ask questions, and for you information, I'm Tii. Who're you?"

Her tail lashed about behind her quickly, her eyes zeroed in on this stranger. But, as she waited for his response, she grew bored. Her eyes wandered to the water. At least it was tested! Without another thought, Tii stuck a paw into the water. Followed by another paw, and another, and another. At that point, Tii had waded into the water up to her chest. She turned, looking back to the male. She raised a paw, licking at it roughly. The blood from her pelt was washing away slowly, creating rusty swirls in the clear water. Tii was more concentrated on cleaning herself than paying attention to this stranger, at the moment.

Yua watched her curiously, retaining his own silence for a moment, while waiting for her to speak again. Once he found that desire had been fufilled, he chuckled and shook his head a bit.

"Yua." he replied, again the word shoved from his being.

His fur puffed a bit, telling him that he was being watched with a stern eye after that, brushing down his markings with a paw, before heaving a sigh and pulling is paws from the water. It was all hers, and he wasn't about to step in while she was in there. He was just a scrawny boy, and he was smart enough to retain all his body parts in one peice.

Leaning back, he looked off over his shoulder, as if looking for his original target, then looked back to Tii, following her mannerisms keenly. Hmmm. She... was different.

That was for sure.

"Lovely." he simply commented, watching the swirls of blood in the water.

Tii backed up slowly, submerging more and more of herself into the water until she was up to it to her mid-shoulder. She shook a little, loosening the crusty blood from her fur and sending it floating about into the water. When she was satisfyed, she began to wade back, now standing elbow deep. The female tossed her head lightly, Yua eh. She then nodded, watching his eyes following the swirling water,

"Yes, it was a lovely meal indeed... So, those markings, on your leg, what are those from?"

Tii's voice piqued with curiosity, did tattoos like that mean something? Did lions actually mar themselves like that? It was interesting to Tii, something she had never encountered before.

If there was any question that would have received a snappy reply from him, it was that one. A sort of spark flashed in his eyes as he looked at her, spatting out; "Them." he replied shortly, rubbing the markings with a paw. 'The markings'. Mn. The only thing that tied them anymore.

"That is all you need to know." Yua then added, his attention going back to the water, ears flattened back into his mane.

He paused for a moment, before looking back to her, almost in an apologetic manner, frowning a bit, before explaining in better terms; "The Ela'wadiyi."

'Them'. That's who 'them' was. He didn't like them.

Lifting his paw, he admired the single leg the markings went down, sighing a bit. Hmmm.

Tii furrowed her brows at the tone of his reply. Whatever they were, they were a touchy subject, and Tii knew how touchy subjects went; she had a few of her own that irked her beyond belief when she was question on them.

"Oh... I have no idea who those guys are. Sounds kinda.... Weird."

That was one fancy name he gave to these tattoo givers. Fancy names for fancy markings, she supposed.

"I'm not one for prides, or groups, if that's what 'They' are. I know the Pridelanders, I've passed through there, but that's about it."

Tii sighed, sitting down in the shallow amount of water she was in. It was nice and cooling, especially on her worn out paws. The paws of a traveler tended to get tired veeerrry quickly.

Yua simply nodded at the statements, biting his own tongue to keep himself from snapping anything else. Yes, very touchy subject. He had definate issues when it came to his former pride, and furthermore, his family. That was what made him spazz out the most.

He continued to watch her, lifting one of his own paws, looking at the bottom of it and frowning a bit. Indeed, travelers had sore and tired paws, and as far as he had walk in all of his own travels, he had them all the time.

Perhaps he was numb to it now, though.

Laying down on his side, Yua simply turned his attention back to Tii, silently. He'd never seen a female colored like she was before, not even the same pattern.

How curious.

Tii flicked her tail idily, her paws marinating in the cool water. She felt rather relaxed, even though she was around an complete stranger. She figured he had a childlike innocence to him, it made her not feel like she had to watch the male too warily. Much unlike Kai, who was an idiot, and she couldn't take her eyes off of him for fear that she'd be harmed in some way. The female sighed,

"So, Yua, where are you travelling to? Anywhere particular?"

She chuckled almost silently, trying to break the rather awkward silence between the two. When Tii was alone, she reveled in silence, but with company, she enjoyed hearing another's voice.

Yua heaved a bit of a sigh, laying his head down upon his paws as he was inquired to as to his destination. Did he even HAVE one? For a moment, his inner demons deliberated with each other as to where they thought they were going. Indeed, he had so many voices in there, he was -sure- that his thoughts were a democracy and right now congress was taking vote to impeach the president AKA his sanity.

"I dunno. I just kinda wander around. I've never really thought about GOING anywhere." he explained, heaving a bit of a sigh, then lifting his head up again, but remained laying where he was.

"What about yourself? Wanderer or traveller?" he inquired in turn. Afterall, he did have the right to return the question now.

"Or perhaps an avoider?" he then added onto the end. That's what he was.

An avoider. A bad one, albeit, but none the less, he wanted to be anywhere but one place.

Tii pondered on Yua's question for a moment before shrugging her shoulders lightly in response.

"I think I might be all three. I definitely don't have anywhere in specific that I'm going. Just where ever my paws take me. I think I'll know when I get to where I'm going."

She had been wandering about for all of her life, and still she hadn't found the place that she was meant to stay in. But Tii was a determined creature, she knew she'd find it eventually, and when she did, she knew it'd be nothing short of a miracle. Avoiding, yes, at the moment, she was avoiding too, avoiding a certain lion that had pushed her usually calm self to snap at him in a rather rude way. Not that she felt remorse for it... Did she?

A sort of puzzled expression came over Yua's face as Tii made the suggestion that she was more complex then to be a single type of being, and was, rather, a mix of all three options he had presented. Hmm. He'd never thought about that himself. Things were always clear cut, one thing.

Now his head hurt.

"I see..." he replied blankly, prooving, obviously, that he had NO idea what she meant by that, and was simply trying to be polite and not question anything else of that sort out of her. That was a unanimous vote of the house in his head.

In the end, it would be better for him, he guessed.

"I just want to go wherever those I would rather not see, are not. So perhaps I do have a destination..." he considered out loud after mulling over things a bit more.
